<  Session 1786 (Private/Phone)  >

“Back Imagery”

“Imagery of Irritation”

Participants: Mary (Michael) and Terri (Uliva).

(Elias’ arrival time is 17 seconds.)

ELIAS: Good afternoon!

TERRI: Good afternoon, Elias.

ELIAS: (Chuckles) And what shall we discuss?

TERRI: Well, I thought I’d start off with my back. I completely sunburned it a couple of weeks ago, and I was starting to get over that and then I bent down and something just popped. I pulled it. It was in the same place that I had burnt it. I did a search through the digest, and I found a session where a man was asking about back pains. You had said that it was a way of slowing his movement down because he was trying to understand and process everything that you teach impatiently, and it was a cue to slow down. I was wondering if I was doing the same thing.

ELIAS: Somewhat, partially. There is a similarity, but there is also somewhat of a difference. For in this situation, what you are generating is a communication to yourself, not necessarily to slow your movement but to acknowledge your movement – not merely to intake information but to acknowledge and appreciate the information that you are applying, and to validate yourself, to pay attention to yourself and how you are actually implementing the information that you are inputting with yourself.

Therefore, in a manner of speaking, it is partially a signal of slowing yourself to allow yourself the opportunity to genuinely acknowledge your own movement and your accomplishment. It is a signal to pay attention.

TERRI: So I am accomplishing something! (Laughs)

ELIAS: Yes, and that is the point, to be genuinely acknowledging yourself that you are implementing information and you are generating movement and you are accomplishing, and in that, to appreciate the movement that you are accomplishing and pay attention to that, validating yourself and your direction, rather than merely continuing to input information just to input information, and rather than merely moving swiftly to accumulate volumes of information for the sake of the volumes of information, but rather to be paying attention to how the information that you are drawing to yourself is affecting of you and how you are manipulating your energy in association with the information that you are drawing to yourself, and how you are implementing that.

TERRI: So, is that related to creating the back pain? Is that an example of manipulating energy?

ELIAS: It is an example to you of the message of paying attention. For, the reason that you have created these physical manifestations is to allow you to view how easily and quickly you can generate any type of action, and if you are not paying attention, you may create some scenario that may not necessarily be comfortable.

TERRI: Neither of them are comfortable.

ELIAS: But it is an example of how easily and how powerfully you can create any action or any manifestation within any moment. This is the key of paying attention to what you are doing and how you are manipulating your energy.

TERRI: So, did I miss a cue before that?

ELIAS: No. This was the point.

TERRI: Because I thought it was feeling better. I thought I was making some progress in paying attention.

ELIAS: Yes, and you have been. In this, you are merely offering yourself other examples of how you can create certain manifestations in the time framework of a moment, which also validates to you the strength of your energy and the importance of paying attention to what you are doing.

At times, my friend, individuals may generate manifestations or actions that initially appear to them to be confusing or negative. But at times, some of those experiences that you generate are actually created as a type of validation, merely attaining your attention in a specific area.

TERRI: That makes sense. That’s a good point, because I was looking at it as a punishment. (Laughs) Like, what did I do?

ELIAS: Yes, and that is not the point. In this, also, as you have chosen a specific area of your back that you have affected, the other message that you are expressing to yourself in paying attention to yourself and to what you are doing is to also express that supportiveness with yourself, for this particular area of your back incorporates a symbolization, so to speak, of support. Therefore, your communication is to be paying attention and to acknowledge yourself and your movement, and that shall generate your own supportiveness of yourself.

TERRI: Let’s move on and talk about my dog. He’s been licking his leg where the bottom joint is. I’ve gotten him some natural capsules for arthritis and other things. When my dog exhibits something, is it because I’m creating it through him, or is it a message to me?

ELIAS: Partially.

Now; in this, individuals that incorporate creatures as companions and in friendship draw specific creatures to themselves, and the creature is in agreement with the individual to be reflecting. Therefore, you are not necessarily creating whatever the creature is generating or whatever the creature is manifesting, but the creature manifests or creates certain behaviors or manifestations in reflection of your energy and in responsiveness to your energy. Remember, most importantly, this is the creature’s choice. You are not creating for the creature, but they do reflect your energy and they do reflect what you are doing.

TERRI: Is he reflecting that I’m not being flexible? It seems to be in his joints.

ELIAS: Partially, but more so he is reflecting irritation.

TERRI: Irritation with myself or outside things?

ELIAS: Both, for generating irritation with outside elements is also associated with inward irritation.

Now; this is another example of paying attention to what you are doing. In this, at times creatures, being quite attuned to your energy, shall display manifestations or behaviors that may seem to be somewhat overt or even extreme. In that, it may be somewhat confusing to the individual as they begin to evaluate within themselves what they are doing or what type of energy they are projecting that is influencing the manifestation or the behavior with the creature.

At times, in such situations in which the creature may be displaying somewhat of an extreme behavior or manifestation, what the individual is doing is projecting an energy that has become so familiar and has been ongoing that the individual is not objectively aware of generating it or you may, in some moments, be aware but not continuously. In this, I may express to you, within your assessment were you to be genuinely evaluating within yourself, you may discover or define that there are many of what you term to be small situations or scenarios or actions that are generated in your environment that are irritating.

Now; that irritation may be what you assess to be somewhat mild, but the point is is that it is constant. It is merely that you are not paying attention.

TERRI: I thought that that actually had gotten a lot better lately. The things that were irritating me around the house, I was trying to concentrate on generating a cooperation with my kids, and I was trying to just concentrate on my preference for having a clean house, just concentrating on how I want it to be and doing those things that I felt would make it that way instead of trying to force them to do it.

ELIAS: Correct, which I am understanding, and that is...

TERRI: The irritations were getting less.

ELIAS: Partially, but not entirely. You are choosing different directions, which is dissipating some of the more overt irritations. But the ongoing irritation is expressed underlyingly and is continuing to be expressed in your energy, which you project in association with differences.

TERRI: What can I work on to lessen that or to be more aware of it?

ELIAS: Pay attention to differences with yourself and with other individuals, all other individuals that you interact with. As you pay attention to those differences, pay attention to the small twinges that you generate that are sparks of irritation. In noticing those automatic responses of immediate irritation, do not attempt to push that away. Do not attempt to eliminate it. Rather, allow yourself to notice, and subsequent to that noticing, engage an exercise of attempting to discover some element of similarity in the difference of yourself and the other individual.

TERRI: Like this morning, I got a message from Stacey and she was complaining that I never return her phone calls. I noticed that I got irritated with that, but at the same time, I tried to look at what was that reflecting of me. I noticed that I get irritated when people don’t call me right back. Like my girlfriend Shannon, I thought that she was purposely ignoring me or purposely avoiding me, and Stacey was feeling the same way. I mean, I thought that I was doing this more, recently. Is that what you’re talking about? ELIAS: Yes. In that, you may incorporate that as an example to yourself of how you express in one manner and how another individual may be expressing quite similarly but also different, and the difference is what generates the irritation.

You are allowing yourself to evaluate reflections, which that is quite beneficial and a significant movement. Beyond evaluating the reflections – for at times, that in itself may be somewhat confusing – allow yourself to more simply address to your own irritation. What triggers that irritation? For in all of these scenarios that you generate with other individuals and other individual’s expressions and choices and behaviors, they are associated, or the irritation is associated, with differences, that you would generate a different choice or a different expression or a different behavior. Therefore, as the other individual expresses different, that becomes unacceptable and that generates the irritation, for the irritation is your communication to yourself that you want the other individual to be expressing or behaving or choosing in similar manner to you.

What you may evaluate in this type of an exercise of assessing what the similarities are, such as in this situation with your friend expressing to you that you do not return her calls, that may generate an irritation within you but what the similarity may be is her feeling of disappointment, which may reflect your feeling of disappointment in other situations.

TERRI: With her?

ELIAS: Or with other individuals. It is not as black and white, as cause and effect, that this individual is expressing this to you and that is associated with merely one subject. It is associated with you as a reflection, but it may not necessarily be a mirror.

Mirror actions are those in which another individual is expressing in the same manner as yourself and projecting that to you that you may be aware of what YOU are expressing. But generally speaking, you do not generate mirror action often. That is an action that you may generate occasionally, at times, if there is some issue being expressed within yourself that is expressed quite strongly. But generally speaking, for the most part, you create reflections through other individuals, and those reflections may not necessarily be an expression that you are actually doing but that reflect some other element of you. It may not necessarily be that you do not return the calls.

TERRI: It was the disappointment.

ELIAS: Correct, that the other individual is reflecting disappointment, and that offers you the opportunity to evaluate your own disappointment in association with other individual’s and how that is triggered.

TERRI: Well, we have about five minutes left. I just wanted to ask you one more question. I have this feeling that comes up over the years of getting in touch with my oldest son’s father again. This year, it has been twenty years since I’ve seen him, and I’d really like to see him one more time. Not to get anything from him or... I think after twenty years it will be easier to see him now, because nothing will be expected. He is still living in the same place, but it also seems like he’s married to the same person. I guess my question is, if I really am intent on creating this, I shouldn’t have to track him down, that I could create him just bumping into me or running into him somewhere else, instead of concentrating on going to his house. Is that an example of forcing the energy instead of generating the event of meeting him somewhere else?

ELIAS: First of all, this would be a choice. What is significant for you to evaluate is what you want and what are the obstacles. Regardless of whether this individual incorporates a relationship with another individual or not, what do you evaluate as an obstacle that you would prevent yourself from accomplishing what you want in generating a meeting with him?

TERRI: I keep thinking that I know where he lives, and if I went by his house and she were there that that would be an obstacle. My other thought was that if I could find out where he works and went there, that would be an easier meeting.

ELIAS: Which, that would be your choice what you experience more comfort or less conflict with. But I may also express to you, if your intention is merely to generate an interaction with this individual and expressing an appreciation of yourself and of the other individual, you are not projecting any energy of expectation and therefore no energy of threat. Therefore, regardless of the location or the physical area in which you generate the meeting, if you are not projecting any energy of threat, no energy of expectation, you shall create an environment of calm, regardless of the physical area.

I may also express to you, you can create a scenario in which you may spontaneously encounter the other individual, but that actually, in this time framework now in association with the energy that you are projecting, is less likely. But you can generate that. That also is a choice.

TERRI: Those were the three main things I wanted to talk about today. So, is my dog going to be okay? (Both laugh) I feel like I’m breaking him!

ELIAS: You are not breaking him. (Laughs) Be aware of your energy and be aware of what we have discussed in relation to irritation and reflections. In that, as you dissipate that continuous energy, you may begin to notice a dissipation of the behavior with the creature.

TERRI: Thank you, once again, and I will see you in a couple of weeks.

ELIAS: Very well. You quite welcome, and I am greatly encouraging of you and acknowledging of your movement. Now perhaps you shall also acknowledge you! (Laughs)

TERRI: I will do that. Thank you.

ELIAS: Very well, my friend, I shall be anticipating our next meeting.

TERRI: I will, too.

ELIAS: To you in great affection and lovingness, au revoir.

TERRI: Au revoir.

Elias departs after 31 minutes.
