the Elias forum Newsletter, November, 2005 What's New? Over 1.5 million webpages served! Since opening our cyberdoors in February 2002, we have served over 1,633,100 webpages to more than 96,500 visitors in over 120 countries. We also had over 19,000 visits last month. Many thanks to all of you who continue to provide us with tremendous support, constructive suggestions, and email feedback! Updated Elias forum Contact List Myrna recently updated her list and sent it along. If you wish to update your info or add it, please contact Myrna directly. New Transcribers Please welcome Dale Evans to the transcribers' group. Many know Dale from various email lists and group sessions over the years. If you would like to help with the transcripts, contact Bobbi H. at momcat28@sti.net Archive Project Updates The DVD Archive is one of those “behind the scenes” projects whose goal is to ensure that the legacy of the Elias forum continues long after we’re gone. At last count, Mary had recorded over 1,800 sessions on videotape! Since DVDs take up less space, we purchased a DVD recorder last March, and began to transfer the ’95 sessions from Ron and Cathy Churchman’s video archive. We’ve finished through session 464. The 1995 transcripts are one third done, as we have finished through session 21. That means only 42 more to go! Support Our Work We’d like to express our heart-felt appreciation to those of you who have made donations to help support our work. Thank you! This month’s gems are taken from Jon’s private session: JON: “What do the Dream Walkers create? ELIAS: Blueprints and also physical manifestations, but most of what the Dream Walkers generated was the design of this reality. The essences that chose to be physically participating in this physical reality are what generate the physical manifestations of it. For the most part, the Dream Walkers generated or created the design and the blueprint for this physical reality. JON: So the collective takes that blueprint and uses it as a guide to manifest? ELIAS: Correct, and this is the point that generates some confusion for many individuals in their exploration of the Dream Walkers and attempting to identify what action was incorporated by the Dream Walkers or what they actually created and in association with different essence families. In this, the Dream Walkers, as I have stated, for the most part were not responsible for actual physical manifestations. They created the blueprint for the physical manifestations, as some individuals have questioned concerning mountains and seas and creatures. Their association is the concept of these manifestations, inventing, so to speak the idea, in your terms; although in their terms, it was not necessarily an idea, for it was not associated with objective thinking. But even thinking and that function was designed by the Dream Walkers in the blueprint of what would be manifest physically, and all of the expressions associated with physical manifestation within this particular physical dimension. Subsequent to the creation of the blueprint, other essences chose to participate also, but to actually engage the physical manifestations of those blueprints. The Dream Walkers chose not to be physically participating, for in your terms, figuratively speaking, this was not their intent. Their intent, their preference, their interest, their curiosity was to be inventing, not necessarily engaging. JON: Do you hold a Dream Walker aspect? ELIAS: Yes. JON: That means you were fragmented from a Dream Walker? ELIAS: No. Incorporating an aspect of a Dream Walker is not necessarily directly associated with fragmentation. Now; in a manner of speaking, indirectly it may be figuratively associated with fragmentation. For in the process of fragmentation, an aspect, in a manner of speaking, of an essence may express a desire. Now; recognize these are figurative terms, for essences and consciousness are not entities; therefore, it is not a thing springing from another thing. But in terms of your reality and your physical understanding, it may be incorporated in your language in this manner, that a desire is generated. That desire chooses different qualities and expressions of the essence and incorporates those qualities into itself as a new essence. Therefore, it may choose to be incorporating a Dream Walker aspect. Not all essences choose to be incorporating a Dream Walker aspect, and this is not better or worse, more enlightened or less enlightened, so to speak. It is a choice associated with this particular physical dimension. Some essences incorporate more of an interest, so to speak, and appreciation for this particular physical dimension than others, and therefore may be choosing to incorporate a Dream Walker aspect, for this aligns with the essence’s appreciation of this particular physical dimension. Now; some essences may be participating in this physical dimension, and may even incorporate many focuses of attention in this physical dimension, but do not express the appreciation and the interest in this physical dimension as much as they may other dimensions, and therefore may choose not to be incorporating a Dream Walker aspect, for the essence may be more fascinated with other dimensions and the exploration of them than this one. Are you understanding? JON: Yes. ELIAS: Therefore, the incorporation of a Dream Walker aspect is merely an identification that that particular essence generates a strong interest and appreciation of this particular physical dimension, regardless of whether they incorporate many or few focuses within it. JON: You don’t necessarily have to be fragmented from a Dream Walker in some part of your essence lineage or whatever to hold one? ELIAS: Correct.” [session 1278, February 21, 2003] Digests: find out more about the Dream Walkers. Resources for Newcomers New to the information? Want to share it with someone else? Monthly Musings - The Ten Beliefs Systems: Perception Last month we explored the belief system of emotions. This month we continue with an exploration of the sixth of ten core belief systems that Elias introduced in March 1999: perception.
Elias says repeatedly that our perception is what creates our reality. In terms of cause and effect, then, our perception is both. So our beliefs about how perception works are very important, because we can use them to change our perception, though Elias focuses upon change through learning how to accept beliefs, not eliminate them.
Another important aspect of perception is what Elias calls our orientation, a “language” of perception in three essential types: common, intermediate, or soft. Our beliefs about orientation color our perception even further.
But perception is not limited to objective awareness, because subjective awareness plays an important role, too. This is what he means when he says:
Further, our worth, or sense of self-esteem actually lies in the simple feeling of being or the eternal nature of our subjective awareness. Therefore, physical self-worth is not dictated by our perception or even by what we create. Our intrinsic value is in our being, regardless of what and how we perceive through objective awareness.
Moreover, our perception is relative to the beliefs we hold. This is another example of what Elias means when he says, “there are no absolutes.” For example, whether or not we find pain bad or good depends entirely on our beliefs.
Our belief systems color our perception, but perception is how we actually create our realities. As such, it is more than just our beliefs! That is, our perception goes deeper than just the belief systems held by objective awareness. It is the “tool” used by subjective awareness to create objective awareness.
What about co-creation? Elias remains consistent in saying that there is no co-creation in relation to the inviolate nature of the focus personality. Each focus creates, and no other focus can create our reality for us. When we say, “you hurt my feelings,” the opposite is actually true. We CHOOSE to feel hurt because of the beliefs we hold when someone projects hurtful energy at us. Still, we can also say that when we all create jointly, we do co-create a collective or consensus reality. So there is a kind of co-creation in play, though Elias hammers away at the inviolate nature of each focus to create ALL its objective reality.
So even though there is no co-creation from an individual perspective, according to Elias, there is a collective that simultaneously creates. I’m reminded of Seth’s individual “space continuums” and “primary constructions.” Seth used an example to suggest that when four people are in same room looking at a glass of wine on a coffee table, there are literally four tables and four glasses being constructed. To take this further, since each person constructs four versions of each person, there are literally sixteen people, or secondary constructions, in the room! So just how does perception work? That’s really the sixty-four skillion dollar question. Elias talks about subjective inner blueprints and projections of energy that we each interact with objectively. This interaction forms a kind of relationship that I sometimes call co-creation, but to be clear, it is defined differently than Elias’ definition. Again, as Elias hinted above, co-creation “may be incorporated undistortedly IN SOME EXPRESSIONS.” And the way I use it is complementary, to show that even though each focus perceives uniquely, we do this in relationship to each other interobjectively. This interobjectivity is a valid type of co-creation, but one that can lead to quite different perceptions between what is projected and what is perceived.
So collective co-perception can get tricky, since there are so many different beliefs we all hold. And when we try to incorporate Elias’ teaching on accepting self and others, it can get confusing!
So how does perception, as defined by Elias, factor into the afterdeath experience and transition?
Finally, how does perception relate to what Elias calls avenues of communication between our subjective and objective awareness?
So perception is a very powerful and important belief system. It deals with the creation of 100% of our physical reality. Of course, subjective awareness plays an important part, too, but Elias is clear that each focus constructs, creates, and perceives through the mechanism, instrument, or tool of perception. This is also another clever way to explore the relationship between objective and subjective awareness! All of which leads us to a simple practice for this month. Let’s simply notice which beliefs predominate our experiences for a whole week. First, simply notice every time we perceive something. Just notice. Don’t identify or label or analyze. Just notice. Pay attention to what you perceive!
Then, during a second week notice and identify perceptions connected to daily actions, particularly relationships, duplicity, sexuality, truth, and emotions (since we’ve covered those already). Concentrate on what perceptions arise in terms of relationships, duplicity, sexuality, truth, and emotions with self, essence, family members, pets, plants, TV, movies, your car, your lawn, etc. Notice what you are perceiving! Are there repeated signals? Is there one or two that draw your constant attention? Write those down for further NIRAA practice, as repeated signals always represent a message we not yet heard, but need to hear. As usual, don’t go crazy, simply do the practice for 5-10 minutes throughout each day, and let it go at that. The basic idea, as always, is to notice self in relation to others, and be consistent with the practice. With a little persistence, you will begin to notice how important the belief system of perception is in understanding how we actually create all our reality. Publication date 25 October 2004
For more information, please contact annek@contact-publishing.co.uk At this time in our world we are all asking questions of ourselves and others such as, “What is my purpose?” and “What is truth?” and “What is death?” We are questioning the validity of our governments and our religious institutions. The Shift: A Time of Change offers the answer to these questions. First time author David Tate has waded through the voluminous information delivered by Elias/Mary Ennis to compile a GEM of the Elias material and has shaped The Shift: A Time of Change into a definitive reference guide of the most popular topics of the Elias material. All of the readers of the popular Seth/Jane Roberts books will identify with the information delivered by Elias/Mary Ennis in that it is channelled material. Like Seth, Elias is an essence who brings forth explanations of our world, ourselves and that we create our reality. The mantra, “You create your own reality,” was originated by Seth. Seth further explained that our beliefs create our reality. However, Elias clarifies that in order to change our realities we must accept our beliefs. In The Shift, Elias delves deep into the fundamental questions we all have concerning truth, karma, beliefs systems and God. “You are moving to the creation of a new expression of your physical reality as you know it. In this, not only your technology shall advance and be created differently, but all of your reality shall be altered and shall be different.” Synopsis The Shift: A Time of Change is a compilation of transcripts that have been delivered by Elias/Mary Ennis since 1995. The phenomenon of Elias began in 1995 and, through Mary Ennis, Elias has given private and group readings to people around the globe. This book encompasses the gems of that information that addresses everyone on the planet. This is the first book within a series. TABLE OF CONTENTS:
