the belief system of perception
ELIAS: “I have stressed many times, from the onset of our sessions, the importance of interaction. The reason this interaction holds importance is to allow you alternate perceptions. Within our time that we have been engaged together, you have offered yourselves many examples of altering perceptions. You draw upon these experiences many times, but you continue to not make the connection! You continue to view the difficulty in shifting perception. You think, within your objective self, that you must incorporate a method, or you think there must be a process, or you think it shall be very difficult to shift. I have expressed many times to you, there is no difficulty within shifting. You need only perceive differently. “If you are needing of a method to be perceiving differently, this too has been offered, within this company and these sessions – interaction with each other – for each of you holds individual perceptions. In this, you offer each other alterations in perception. You may hold a belief system and your perception will follow this belief system, but as you have agreed to be widening, if you are incorporating helpfulness through interaction, you may also be accepting of another’s perception. In this is your method, to allowing yourselves to widen belief systems.” [session 102, June 30, 1996] ELIAS: “I have expressed previously that you have created these belief systems as explanations to yourselves of elements that you have forgotten, and these belief systems are an intricate part of your reality within this particular dimension and may not be eliminated. But they may be accepted, and in this acceptance you also shall be accepting of self, and in this acceptance of self you merge all of the elements of self within an objective manner to be creating of the perception of wholeness objectively, for your perception also is creating of your reality. It is influenced by your belief systems, and your perception is the aspect of yourself that is creating of your individual reality and your reality en masse, but your perception is altered within your acceptance of self. Therefore, your experience is also altered.” [session 331, October 16, 1998] ELIAS: “As you enter physical focus and physically manifest within this dimension, you choose a physical body type and function, a gender. You also choose an orientation. The orientation may fit to either gender. All three of the orientations may fit with either gender. Therefore, they cross over each other, and one does not dictate the other. This is another element of your belief system that creates great confusion within you, for as you DO identify so very strongly with genders, you confuse yourselves with orientations, for the orientations do not fit with one particular gender. They are not associated directly with each other. “Orientation is your perception. It is what is creating your perception. Your beliefs are influencing of your perception and therefore create your perception also, but your orientation is an ingredient of your perception. “Your perception is how you view yourself, how you view your world, how you interact with your world, how you interact with yourself, with each other, and HOW YOU CREATE YOUR REALITY. You create your reality through your perception. Perception is not visual seeing. Perception is not limited to your thought process. It is not limited to emotion. It is all-encompassing, and that element of yourself that you do not identify as a thing, for it is not your body and it is not your brain. It is that element of yourself that creates your reality, that places you in the awareness of reality within this physical dimension. It is your awareness, your objective awareness.” [session 381, April 09, 1999] ELIAS: “Perception is not the you of you. Your orientation and your emotion, in this physical manifestation – not in all of essence, but in this particular physical dimension – your perception is created by your emotion and your sexuality. Those are the elements that are the you of you, the ingredients that are what comprises you, as you know yourself physically. Your perception is created by these elements, and is that aspect of you that therefore creates your reality.” [session 381, April 09, 1999] ELIAS: “Your worth is not dictated by the expression or opinion or perception of any other individual. Your worth is not dictated by your actions or your experiences. Therefore, your worth is not dictated by what you create. Your worth is YOU, and this is not reflected by what you create or your experiences or the opinions or the perceptions of any other individual. It is not even dictated by your own perception!” [session 427, July 19, 1999] ELIAS: “You may identify through your perception the definition of physical pain, and you may define this within yourself as bad, as uncomfortable, as negative; an element of your reality which you wish to be eliminating of or changing. Another individual may create physical pain within their reality, and through their perception it is identified as pleasurable, and is not viewed as a negative element or an element to be eliminated, but to be perpetuated. “I have been expressing recently to many individuals the discussions that there are no absolutes, but you hold thought processes within your physical reality identifying certain elements of your reality as absolute. “I am offering you information, that you may allow yourselves to be understanding that there are no absolutes. All that you create within your physical reality is dependent upon your perception, and your perception is not an absolute. It is quite changeable.” [session 472, September 19, 1999] ELIAS: “Your perception is how you view yourself, how you view other individuals, and how you view your world and your universe. “Your belief systems directly influence your perception, and your perception is the tool in which your create your reality. “You all each create all of your reality. Every thought, every emotion, every event, every occurrence, every element of your reality you individually create, and all of that reality is created through your perception. “Your perception is not your thought process. Although your thought process and your emotions hold a tremendous involvement in your perception, it is not limited to your thoughts or your emotions. This is the entirety of your view of your reality, and as I have stated, it is the tool that you engage to be creating ALL of your reality within this physical dimension.” [session 488, October 20, 1999] HOWARD: “Well, perhaps the word or the phrase ‘co-creator’ ought to be changed to participant.” ELIAS: “You may substitute. “This terminology of co-creator may be incorporating a TREMENDOUS avenue for misunderstanding. It may be incorporated undistortedly IN SOME EXPRESSIONS, but only in the realization first that all of your reality YOU are individually creating. For the incorporation of this type of terminology of co-creator holds with it the assumption that other individuals or other aspects of your reality – even your weather – are entities in themselves that are creating your reality for you or with you, and neither of these actions is correct. “In this, I shall express once again, all of your individual, unique reality is created through the expression of your perception. This be the reason that I speak with you so very frequently concerning this subject of perception, for your perception, as individually expressed by yourself, IS in actuality creating every aspect of your reality, EVEN your interaction and viewing of other individuals.” [session 629, June 04, 2000] ELIAS: “Each of you – every individual that is manifest within this dimension upon your planet – holds a unique perception, in like manner to your fingerprints. Perception is so very highly unique that no two individuals throughout the entirety of your history create the same perception. It is HIGHLY individualized. Therefore, if perception is the instrument which creates your reality – and it is – and it is highly unique and individualized through your individual creation, all of your reality is also highly individualized and unique.” [session 646, June 17, 2000] ELIAS: “Perception objectively is an elusive expression, one that is not easily defined. I may express to you that it is an instrument, that it is, in a manner of speaking, a mechanism of you, but it is not a mechanism or an instrument that you may view in solid form, and therefore it becomes abstract and elusive, and you experience difficulty in defining and identifying what perception is. “In this, as you allow yourselves to view the affectingness of your perceptions, as you allow yourselves to view the creations of your perceptions, you also allow yourselves to not concern yourselves as much with the definition of this mechanism, but rather allow yourselves to begin an understanding and a recognition of the movement of it and how to be manipulating of it. “It is a tool, in like manner to a tool of a physical hammer that you may engage in physical activity. You incorporate a hammer to facilitate an action of building. You incorporate perception as an instrument, a tool that builds your reality.” [session 691, September 12, 2000] ELIAS: “You express energy in every choice, every moment, of your focus, and as you express energy, other individuals receive that energy, and from that blueprint of energy which you project, the other individual thusly creates an image of what you have created through their perception. “In a manner of speaking, this type of interaction and movement may be viewed similarly to a projector camera, in which the film is fed through as the projection of energy, and the camera thusly projects an image outwardly of that energy which has been inputted into it. “… Each individual creates this movement in interaction with other individuals. “Now; at times, the projection from your perception may be filtered through different lenses, so to speak, which color the picture and alter the projection, and therefore, at times, may be viewed as distorting the projection. In these situations, you are creating your own image of the interaction and not necessarily projecting the energy which has been received from the other individual, but rather have substituted that energy in relation to your own issues, your own fears, your own beliefs that discard the projection of energy from the other individual and replace it with your own projection of energy. Or, at times, you may reconfigure the energy that you receive from another individual and create a new translation of that in association with your own beliefs, issues, fears and assessments, and also your own communications within self. “… What you directly interact with in each of your realities is your perception. Therefore, what you are directly interactive with in relation to another individual is your perception of the other individual. “What you directly interact with in relation to an actual other individual is not the physical matter, is not the physical form of that individual, but the projection of their energy to you and your acceptance of that energy as a blueprint to be creating your image of the other individual.” [session 797, March 14, 2001] ELIAS: “If you are perceiving that you are being projected to in energy in threat, if your perception is that you are receiving [a] threat, you shall automatically express defense; and [a] threat may be expressed not merely in aggression but it may be expressed merely in the simplicity of difference. For as you engage differences in perceptions, you view this to be threatening, for you validate yourselves through sameness. You seek out sameness. If other individuals express differently, this is unacceptable, and you express to yourselves that you do not understand. “Let me express to you, other individuals are not in actuality different from you. They may objectively display different choices or express behaviors differently, for they are accessing different qualities of consciousness and expressing them through objective physical reality, but you are ALL consciousness. You all hold the SAME qualities. You merely choose to tap different expressions of those qualities, and as you choose to tap certain qualities, you focus your attention upon those qualities, exploring your own expression of them to the exclusion of acceptance of other expressions of qualities for they are different, and you are paying attention to YOUR choice of qualities. “This is not wrong; this is not bad. But within this time framework in this shift in consciousness, you are offering yourselves the opportunity to widen your awareness and become accepting of all other individuals’ choices of expressions, recognizing that they are also yours, for they shall not be within your reality if you are not choosing these expressions also.” [session 800, March 18, 2001] ELIAS: “I may express to you, forgiveness is yet again an expression that is not what it appears to be. There are many aspects of your reality that are not what they appear to be. “Forgiveness, in your definition, is an action that you view to be positive and reinforcing and necessary to be moving into acceptance. I may express to you, this is the wolf in sheep’s clothing, for forgiveness, in actuality, is the discounting of another individual, expressing within yourself that another individual has wronged or hurt or been injurious to you. No other individual may be those expressions to you, for essences are not intrusive, and you create all of your reality. Therefore if you are experiencing injury, you have created that within yourself. Another individual does not create that against you. This is a facet of your perception and the power of your perception. “In this, forgiveness discounts another individual and expresses that there is some element concerning the other individual that needs be fixed, or that they are inadequate in their expression, or that they are wrong – and there is no wrong. It also discounts you, for as you move into an expression of forgiveness with another individual, you are discounting your own choices and your ability to adequately create your reality without incorporating the role as a victim. “... It is also another expression of reinforcing ‘victim.’ For if you are a victim, you have created an inability for choice, and your perception of this is inadequate or wrong or bad.” [session 848, June 09, 2001] LESLIE: “What IS perception?” ELIAS: “Perception is a mechanism that you incorporate in consciousness, in physical manifestation, which projects outwardly from yourself and actually creates and generates ALL of the physical manifestations.” [session 942, October 28, 2001] ELIAS: “The point of transition is not merely to shed beliefs associated with any particular physical dimension, but also to shed the objective awareness, for it is unnecessary. Objective awareness is generated only in association with physical dimensions, with physical realities. Perception is a tool of the objective awareness; therefore it also is not necessary. In nonphysical areas of consciousness there is no perception. It is associated merely with physical realities. But that is a strong configuration of energy and is not immediately shed merely that you choose to disengage. That is what I am expressing to you. That is also a process that generates a beginning.” [session 1474, November 23, 2003] BALBINA: “Suppose somebody knows what he wants. Can we use imagination then as constructing ... this reality?” ELIAS: “It may be helpful; it is a communication. Therefore, imagination does not construct. Perception constructs. But it may be helpful in the construction of what you want as allowing that communication to influence the perception.” [session 1574, June 05, 2004] BILL: “Elias? You’re talking about this wave of perception. I’ve been noticing personally, in going into some of the forums, how critically important our use of language is. Perception, before I came across you, I understood as something I take in. As I understand you using ‘perception,’ perception is basically what we use to project outward.” ELIAS: “It is both. It is how you filter information and it is how you project outwardly and create reality.” BILL: “So you can use the word ‘understanding’ almost interchangeably with the taking-in part of perception?” ELIAS: “Somewhat, for you can input information that you may not necessarily initially understand, and that will also influence what you project outwardly. Therefore, understanding is not necessarily a requirement. It can be associated with what you input to yourself, but not entirely. “For there are many elements of information that you input to yourself, even in interactions with other individuals. You may encounter another individual that expresses such difference from yourself that you genuinely do not understand their expression or their perception, and you do not understand the possibility of their perspective. But you are inputting that information to yourself regardless, whether you understand it or not, and it is influencing of your perception and what you project outwardly and create in your reality. Many times what you do not understand influences you to generate stronger absolutes.” BILL: “And the understanding comes through thought’s interpretation of it?” ELIAS: “It can.” BILL: “Or you could just get the feeling of knowing?” ELIAS: “Yes.” BILL: “But thought plays a part in the understanding, or it can play a part?” ELIAS: “It can, yes. It is dependent upon your attention.” BILL: “So you’re using perception as input and output? ELIAS: “Yes.” BILL: “And the input not necessarily with understanding?” ELIAS: “Correct.” CARL: “It’s like if you listen to a foreign language, you’re inputting it but you don’t understand it.” ELIAS: “Correct. Precisely.” [session 2116, October 21, 2006] ELIAS: “... what is important is to understand the acceptance of the differences. You all incorporate differences to a degree, and in some situations and in relation to cultures, there are at times significant differences. It is natural for you to dislike or disagree with differences, for when you present differences to yourself, it presents a threat. “Now; what is the threat of the differences? When you present differences to yourself, the threat is your identity, for your rightness in whatever your associations are is entangled with your own identity. It is a part of your identity. Therefore, if you encounter differences, that threatens your identity, for it is very important for most individuals to be right. And in your own guidelines, you are. “This is the reason that you incorporate your guidelines. They are right for you. They govern your behavior; they govern how you will express yourself. How you express yourself may not be right for another individual. In that, that difference will create a threat, and the other individual, in like manner to yourself, will respond in opposition. It is a matter of becoming aware that your perception is not absolute. There is not one absolute right reality. There is your reality, which is very associated with your guidelines, and that may be right for you, but it may not be right for another individual. It is not absolute. “Just as you expressed previously in this forum that you interact with other individuals and you choose to interact in a manner that is somewhat antagonistic. In this, you recognize that you are not necessarily changing the perception or the opinion of another individual, but it is your choice to express yourself in this manner. “Now; to another individual that incorporates different guidelines from you, that may be perceived as threatening, for it is different, and they will respond in an opposing manner and project an opposing energy. “It is not necessary to understand what another individual’s guidelines are or what their perception is. What is important is to recognize that there are differences, that you are all different, that as many individuals as you can gather that will support your guidelines, your opinions, your preferences, there are equally as many individuals that another individual in another culture can gather to support their opinion and their preferences and their guidelines. Does that generate the basis for rightness for either of you, how much support you can gather that is similar to yourself? No. It merely is a reinforcement that there are other individuals that may incorporate a similar perception to yourself, but that does not express that it is right or that it is wrong. It is right for you, and that will influence you in how you express yourself. “Changing perception is not necessarily changing your opinion or changing your preferences. It is not necessarily changing that now you agree with another individual or now you like this culture. Perhaps you will not. Perhaps you will not throughout the entirety of your focus. But you can accept that their perception, their choices, their preferences are equally valid as your own. “If you can acknowledge that another individual’s perception is equally as valid as your own and you are not experiencing the threat of the difference, there is no necessity for war. There is no necessity for conflict, for it is not necessary to convince the other individual that you are right and they are wrong. It is not necessary for you to defend yourself, for you can incorporate that confidence in your own perception that it is right for you. Therefore, it is not necessary to defend it; it is not necessary to boast it; it is not necessary to impose it. You can allow the other individual to express their perception without the attempt to change it, and they can create their reality in the manner that they choose. Which, if neither is threatening each other, you can coexist in your differences, for there is no longer a threat that one is right and one is wrong, and therefore the one that is wrong must be changed.” [session 2482, April 04, 2008]
ELIAS: “Consciousness seems to you to be a very ‘tricky business’ – elusive; an element to be pondered, but never quite to be understood. I say to you, it is not quite so difficult to be understanding of consciousness and its action if you are only viewing, if you are shifting your focus, which we have spoken of from the ‘time’ of our first encounter physically within this developmental focus. Qualification! (Grinning) Many times, we have incorporated the elements of consciousness and your ability to be noticing. It is amusing that you incorporate, still, very much difficulty with these connections. Shifting perception is much easier than you create it to be! When I express to you that you need only shift your perception, I am not expressing that you turn completely around and be facing in another direction! Think only of using your peripheral vision. We shall express the example of an archer and his target. If the archer is focusing upon the target, the arrow will fly straight. If the archer is expressing to himself a noticing ‘off’ the direction and the target, the arrow will ‘most probably’ not engage the target efficiently. If he is viewing the wind velocity, the temperature, the angle of his bow, his footing, his balance, he is not concentrating upon the mark. Therefore, the arrow is not directed. He may stand in one position, and dependent upon his perception, the arrow will fly differently. If you are viewing straight forward continuously and never noticing elements that are ‘slightly off’ of your immediate perception, you deny yourself many choices and many knowings of reality. It is only dependent upon your perception and shifting of your perception, noticing that you have been indoctrinated in one area of thinking. When you are noticing that your thinking continually ‘pulls back’ to one focus, you may lean to the side and notice another perception. All things are not always what they appear to be, but you possess the ability to be viewing reality in many different directions; this being also your ‘method,’ so to speak, if you must incorporate a method, (smiling) for changing your reality. The action of shifting your perception within consciousness may offer you information without physical movement at all, for your understanding of situations may change. Your vision of probabilities may widen simply by shifting your perception. Therefore, I say to you, consciousness is not an elusive, mystical concept that you may not grasp, but it is a magical element that you possess. (Long pause) Very quiet! (Chuckling) And we have no questions? Obviously not, for we are all so very connected and understanding of these concepts! (Grinning, and another long pause) VICKI: Okay, I have a question. ELIAS: Of course, Oh Asker of Questions! (Laughter) Proceed! VICKI: Okay. You mentioned visualizing probabilities. Are the probabilities that are available to you engaged by the visualization of them? ELIAS: It is dependent upon your desire. You may be concentrating quite intensely and visualizing, ‘I am wishing for a new automobile. I am visualizing a very bright blue automobile, which I am wishing to be materializing immediately!’ I wager it will not, although you do possess the ability to accomplish this, but you do not believe that you do; but within this wishing, this may not necessarily be in alignment with your true desires. Within your self, and true connection with self, your self will not betray you and will seek its ultimate expression. It always leans to your benefit. Your consciousness is always connected with what you would term to be your highest or most perfect good, although ... (looking at Vicki, who says, ‘there is no bad or good!’ and Elias grins) Correct; but these are terms that you incorporate and belief systems that you also cling to very firmly. Therefore, within this ‘accepted system,’ your consciousness is aware of your belief systems and how far they reach, or do not. It will strive for your ‘best interest’ inwardly. This is not to say that you do not possess the ability to thwart these efforts, for you do, and you are quite efficient at accomplishing this! Your intuition expresses one thing to you. Your intellect may very well override this expression and ‘move on’ itself, moving you with it, with your permission. I will express that it is quite amusing that Michael [Mary] expresses that his consciousness is seemingly ‘running away’ with its own ideas without his permission and without his knowledge. Very, very incorrect! Your intuition speaks to you continuously. You are aware. You only do not listen. Be remembering of our small story of the little one, ‘mother, mother, mother, mother mother!’ (Banging on the table) And mother is not paying attention; this being your intuition, which is continually in communication with you. You are striving to ‘reach the point,’ so to speak, at which there will be no ‘foot-stomping’ before the attention is gained; to be listening to the intuition before conflict is engaged. You have created a scenario within physical focus of aligning yourselves with your scientific belief systems so well that you automatically listen to the intellect. The intellect, as I have expressed, is a great asset to you, but its function is not to be incorporating all decisions alone. It does not understand how to properly function alone. Therefore, it creates information to reinforce itself. You may view this within your physical expression continuously. You will create elements to reinforce your own belief systems, and simultaneously your intuition will be continuously expressing, ‘mother, mother, mother, mother,’ and you will not listen, but you are beginning to shift your perception. I will also within all fairness express for Michael’s [Mary’s] benefit, in [not] wishing to incur angriness at using his example, that he also is moving in what you term to be a forward direction, in incorporating a greater understanding of the intuition; in seeing the small voice and listening, and following that voice also. ... CHARLES SR: Question. You spoke of archer, the archer. The target remains the same. The concentration remains the same. The archer can be anywhere, and the target is the same. Why, even though distance be the same, the archer seeks a heavier bow? It doesn’t change a heavy conveyance of the arrow to the target. It doesn’t change the lob, or it doesn’t change the ... it changes the lob, it changes the directness, and it may even change the time of getting there, but is this a weakness or is this a failure because he strives to go for a heavier bow, even though the first one, the results are the same? Is there any reason for going for the heavier? ELIAS: I will express to you, first of all, there is no failure. You do not fail. You perceive that you may fail, for you attach belief systems upon your perception. In actuality, you do not fail. You incorporate different experiences for your knowledge. I will also express to you that your striving within this area is only an expression of ‘pushing your perception’ so to speak; testing your limitations or lack of limitations. This also will be in conjunction with your alignment to specific essence families. I have expressed to you a greetings this evening, for although within your present perception you do not incorporate a remembrance, I do. ... Through your inner senses, you may connect with vibrational tones. Everything within your perception incorporates a vibrational tone. Your table incorporates a vibrational tone. Every molecule, every atom, every unit of consciousness (1) incorporates a vibrational tone. Therefore, within your inner senses your ‘objective,’ so to speak, would be to be connecting with an individual scenario of connection of vibrational tones, of which there are more than you may count. ... (Vic’s note: Elias departs at 8:27 PM., and pops back in at 9:07 PM. We were sitting outside discussing the concepts of consciousness and essence, and Mary announced ‘out of the blue’ that we better go back inside if we wanted the pop-in on tape. We went inside and Elias arrived immediately, before Mary even had a chance to sit down. Present were Mary, Vicki, Ron, and Jim; the others had left earlier.) ELIAS: My chair, Holmes! (Ron gets the rocking chair) One point for Michael [Mary] for acknowledging impressions! He will be excited at his acquiring of an extra point! (Laughter) I have used as an example your time frame only for your understanding, for there is no time incorporation. Also, essence did not create consciousness. Consciousness is. Consciousness creates all. I have expressed the usage of a time frame for your perception in expressing consciousness as original, and essence springing from consciousness. In actuality, there is no time frame. All is simultaneous. All is in a state of becoming, as is also The Creating Universal One And Whole, which is not completed, which is ongoing, which is present always, now. JIM: Is The Creating Universal One And Whole consciousness? ELIAS: And more. JIM: And more. And more being? ELIAS: I have expressed that this is not a ‘being.’ You create your images of god in your likeness, for this is what you understand. This is what you may attach to. Therefore, you interpret god as a being, for you interpret yourselves as a being. Therefore, you contain your perception of god. As I have expressed previously, a very small word for a very small concept! There are no bounds. VICKI: So does that mean we should not perceive ourselves as a being either? ELIAS: It would not be possible for you to perceive yourselves in any other fashion; for within your perception, which is your reality, you are a being. Within all of your focuses, you are a being. Within essence, you are not. God is an experience. It is a movement; an action; all encompassing. All consciousness springs from it. (Pause) Interesting. (Grinning) I allow for the opportunity for questions, and I receive not a one. I allow for interaction, I receive many. This subject will be ongoing. I have only introduced this to you this evening quite briefly. It will be difficult to be expressing of this subject to you and it will incorporate distortion, for this is unavoidable within your language and understanding, for you may not perceive of the immensity of the experience of which I speak. It is automatic to you to be viewing an immense being which you express is beyond your comprehension, but you attach a comprehension to this immense being! This ‘being’ does not exist! What exists is the totality of experience. VICKI: And all consciousness springs from that? ELIAS: Correct. JIM: From experience? Want, the desire to create an experience? ELIAS: (Grinning) This being your distortion! JIM: Yes, indeed. ELIAS: I have expressed it would be helpful to you to engage your conceptualization (2); for within your perception and your understanding and your language, it is not possible to express to you the totality of ‘It.’ VICKI: So physical focus is one way in which we experience. ELIAS: Correct. VICKI: And there are lots of other ways. ELIAS: Far beyond your present imagination. You incorporate physical manifestations far beyond your imagination, and beyond this you incorporate experiences also; for within the totality of essence, you are not a ‘contained being.’ You are not a closed system. VICKI: Your interaction with us, is this basically for your own experience? ELIAS: Partially. I have expressed previously to Ron, within his question to me, ‘Do I learn from you as you learn from me?’, to which I expressed negative. I repeat this presently. Although within the experience of essence, within the interaction of essence and continued connection and becoming, I gain experience through all focuses and also through all experiences, as does all other elements of All-That-Is. (3) There are no sections. JIM: From where you are, you can experience All-That-Is? ELIAS: As do you also. (Smiling) JIM: In our limited ... because we have limited perception, we think we do. We limit ourselves. ELIAS: Correct. My perception to you may appear to be wider. I incorporate a greater understanding of my experiences and encounters and interaction. Therefore, my understanding of connection is greater. This is not to say that you do not possess the same ability. You only limit your perception. You do this for reasons. You have chosen this physical manifestation for its unique experiences. Therefore, in this you intentionally limit your perception to enhance the individual experiences.” [session 79, March 17, 1996] ELIAS: “You are what you believe yourselves to be, not you believe yourselves to be what you are. You create what you believe, not you believe what you create. Your perception follows your beliefs, not the other way around! This evening, I shall engage with you as you view your perceptions of what you create, of what you are, of what you believe; for these form your reality within this physical focus. You may alter this reality. You continually hold the ability to change this reality. There are no closed systems. Underline entire sentence! You have all incorporated experiences recently, within your individual focuses, presenting yourselves with the opportunity to view how you perceive your reality, what you create, and who you are. You have moved into an area where you have presented yourselves with the opportunity to alter your perceptions of your reality. This is the point of your shift. We offer information to you, in the hopefulness that you shall incorporate this information and use this helpfulness to avoid trauma within your shift by allowing yourselves, in smaller increments, to be shifting. Do not be fooled by your rationale, within your scientifically logical minds, which suggests to you that within your physically-focused psyche, you either possess complete control of all that you encounter, or you possess no control of all that you encounter. Neither of these concepts are, in actuality, complete or correct. They are perceptions which you accept into your reality. As I have stated, your perceptions always, underline, follow your beliefs. The point of your shift is to widen your awareness of belief systems, and to be accepting of these belief systems. Within acceptance of belief systems, you feel no need, inside of you individually, to hold control; for you hold the understanding of the true control, if you choose to use this term, that you already possess. There is, in actuality, no issue of control! You choose the issue of control within physical; not only this particular physical focus, but all dimensions of physical focus. As you widen your awareness of belief systems, you also, as you have recently viewed, begin to incorporate an understanding of how your belief systems align with mass belief systems. In this, I shall also express to you that within the area of mass belief systems, you very effectively restrict your individual selves. You have learned to distrust and discount yourselves. You have learned, through alignment with mass belief systems, that it is unsafe to be expressing of your individuality. Therefore, you ‘squelch’ or you deny your individual talents, creativity, and abilities; for if you are expressing of these abilities individually, you set yourselves apart. You become ‘different.’ (Grinning) Within your mass accepted psychological ‘norm,’ you believe you must be the same. Therefore you hold belief systems the same. You may view yourselves individually. You may express to me, ‘I do not align with mass belief systems.’ I shall express to you, you are incorrect! You do hold to mass belief systems. You accept these. As I have stated, within a widening of awareness, you allow yourselves the perception of your alignment with mass belief systems. In this, you allow yourselves the opportunity to widen these beliefs, and truly be accepting of them, and allow them to fly away. As I have stated this evening, you have each incorporated situations individually, within your recent time period, as have all other individuals, which have served for your viewing of belief systems that you hold. Many individuals, within what you view to be the masses, in these early stages of your shift, do not consciously recognize the elements they are presenting to themselves. Therefore, within a waking consciousness state objectively, they do not act upon conscious widening of awareness. Therefore, the action of widening is slowed. You within this company, and many others also, have chosen to allow yourselves to view and to become aware. As I have stated previously, this process is not always what you view to be ‘comfortable!’ (Grinning, as we all crack up) GAIL: To say the least! ELIAS: This is not necessary! (Humorously) ‘Oh, fine, Elias! Very well for you to say, for you occupy existence within non-physical focus, and do not deal with physical things!’ (Laughter) It matters not. Your perception is all that need be altered. (Smiling) You may incorporate any physical situation and you always hold choices. You always hold different perceptions. You may choose to lock yourselves into one prevailing belief system and perception, but this also would be your choice! If you are wishing to be avoiding conflict and trauma, this is within your abilities! I have stressed many times, from the onset of our sessions, the importance of interaction. The reason this interaction holds importance is to allow you alternate perceptions. Within our time that we have been engaged together, you have offered yourselves many examples of altering perceptions. You draw upon these experiences many times, but you continue to not make the connection! You continue to view the difficulty in shifting perception. You think, within your objective self, that you must incorporate a method, or you think there must be a process, or you think it shall be very difficult to shift. I have expressed many times to you, there is no difficulty within shifting. You need only perceive differently. If you are needing of a method to be perceiving differently, this too has been offered, within this company and these sessions – interaction with each other – for each of you holds individual perceptions. In this, you offer each other alterations in perception. You may hold a belief system and your perception will follow this belief system, but as you have agreed to be widening, if you are incorporating helpfulness through interaction, you may also be accepting of another’s perception. In this is your method, to allowing yourselves to widen belief systems. I tell you truly, which you may communicate also to our new friends; you may choose to view presently, within this now, that you will not experience trauma in conjunction with this shift ... but, you will. You may look to your individual experiences, and you may view within this present now individually, not en masse, how the engagement of very strong base belief systems causes trauma. If you incorporate your multiplication, viewing mass events and mass consciousness, shifting mass belief systems causes trauma. Your expression of non-acceptance of these concepts is only an attempt at physically-focused control. You shall eliminate much, much conflict by allowing yourselves to view the unnecessary element of control issues, for you allow yourselves acceptance of self and trust of self in this, which far out-weighs your small concept of control. If you are trusting of self, you feel no need to be controlling of self or any other element. We shall incorporate interaction, for you each have elements to share that you have learned through engaging your individual issues with belief systems; and if you are confused I shall be helpful. I shall not be picking upon Shynla [Cathy] this evening! Lawrence [Vicki] shall begin! GAIL: You’re on the hot spot! (Much laughter) VICKI: What have I learned ... ELIAS: Which belief systems have you chosen to engage? VICKI: It appears to me to be belief systems of right and wrong. More specifically, in this specific situation, of how we view and believe about our families, our children, our relatives, and the connections between them. Also, of passing judgment on other people as a result of their choices, putting those choices into categories of right and wrong also, because they don’t agree with your own belief systems. ELIAS: And you view presently the alignment with mass belief systems in this area? VICKI: Yes. From talking to other people, it’s quite evident that this is shared by most people, it seems to me. ELIAS: And express to us how you view a shifting in perception, which allows a widening of belief systems. (Pause) VICKI: Well ... That’s a tough question! ELIAS: Do not be discounting of self! VICKI: Well, I think I’ve shifted perception in such a way as to realize that my perception is based on what I expect to perceive, on my expectations, and that I will perceive what I expect to perceive. ELIAS: Quite correct, as we have stated this evening; as you have experienced with your alien creature! (4) (Grinning) VICKI: Yes! (Laughing) ELIAS: Which I shall also add a note that this was not only perception, but as I stated earlier, you create what you believe. Therefore, within a brief time period, you created, in actuality, what you believed, therefore allowing yourself to view actual life. VICKI: It was reality at that point in time! ELIAS: Quite correct! I have stated many times to you, that what you perceive physically is not necessarily what you think, and you may create whatever you choose! If you are viewing within a strong belief of an element, you shall physically create this, and it shall bear you out and be what you perceive. And, as you offered yourself an alteration in belief, the creature changed, and your viewing of the creature, and your perception of it, also changed. VICKI: Rather immediately! ELIAS: Immediately! Spontaneously shifting perception with no difficulty! And, where do you view your shifting within your perceptions of belief systems? VICKI: Another tough question! (Laughter) I guess some shifting into an area of more acceptance of other people’s perception, and maybe understanding that their perception is just as real to them as mine is to me, and within that, it is the way that it is. ELIAS: Therefore within this, the concept of creating a reality is becoming a reality! VICKI: Yes ... ELIAS: The concept of the affectingness of belief systems, and their strength, is becoming a reality, correct? VICKI: Correct. ELIAS: ... Continuing; your perception follows your beliefs. Underline entire sentence! Once again: We have expressed many times, you may acquire a belief system instantaneously. Altering or widening a belief system may not occur so instantaneously, for you do not believe that it shall! Therefore, your perception follows your beliefs. You may acquire a belief of burning feet! GAIL: I did, too! (Laughing) ELIAS: You believe this, therefore you hold the perception. You may alter your perception, but if you are not engaging the belief and allowing for a widening of the belief, your perception may remain the same. GAIL: I tried real hard! ELIAS: This seeming to be quite common within physical focus! Be understanding, this is where your conflict lies, that you try so hard! (Grinning) We have expressed effortlessness, over and over and over again, which is not synonymous with trying so hard! You may instantaneously alter a belief or a perception by engaging a belief. If you believe a creature to exist, you shall perceive a creature! It shall be a reality, as hot sand shall be a reality. You may also effortlessly, without ‘trying so hard,’ alter this and offer yourself new information, changing your belief and altering your perception with no effort. If you are engaging effort, you are holding to the existing belief, and struggling against its reality that you have already accepted. (Pause) Food for thought! (Laughter) We shall continue. Shynla [Cathy] shall be first, after our break! (Grinning at Cathy) CATHY: Yeah, she was gonna break at the break, too! She’s so brave, she’s still here! (Laughter) Well, you have your right and wrong, your good and bad, my issue of control, my issue of trust, my issue of acceptance of self, and then there’s responsibility, and fear of inadequacy. ELIAS: Choose! (We all crack up) CATHY: I’m vacillating between the fear of inadequacy and the responsibility issue. ELIAS: Very good! CATHY: I said the word fear. Fear, fear, fear! I don’t know. I think I view all these things, but ... ELIAS: And how have you manifest? (Grinning) CATHY: Oh, stop! Vicki’s just been waiting for this one! (Laughter) The stupid foxtail thing and the dog, okay? (5) (We’re all losing it!) ELIAS: Quite creative! CATHY: Thank you! Well, I viewed it for a week before I did something about it! That was a pretty big deal for me! I kept waiting for it to poke its little head out the other side, but it just kept making a longer track. So, I just had it taken care of. I told myself, ‘Okay, it manifested. You should look at this, and just let it go now.’ But I’m still paranoid about it! But I’m trying to view it and let it go. But I don’t know that I’m doing such a good job of it! ELIAS: So, you manifest influencing a creation, within cooperation of your animal, of this foxtail plant embedded within its body, which reinforces your belief system that you hold a responsibility for this creature, and also to its care, within agreement with other individuals. Your belief system is your personal responsibility, which you control in manipulating your environment personally. And which mass belief system do you correlate this to? CATHY: (Obviously very frustrated) The mass belief system that if there’s foxtails, and your dog is out running around, it’s gonna get one! There’s a really good chance that one is gonna embed itself in it! And it’s reinforced when you go to the vet and he says, ‘I knew I was gonna make a lot of money when I moved here, over these little things right here!’ ELIAS: (Grinning) The mass belief system that you align to holds little significance to the individual foxtail! (Vic’s note: I have to say, it’s hysterical to hear Elias say ‘foxtail’ with his accent!) CATHY: Then what is it? I don’t know what it is! Clueless! ELIAS: The belief system that you align with, held within mass belief systems, is that you hold a responsibility, through agreement, for your creatures, and that you create their reality. Creatures, within your mass belief systems, do not create their own reality, for they do not hold rational thinking. Therefore, the belief system is that you are responsible for them and their creations. They do not think for themselves; you must think for them. They do not create for themselves, therefore you must create for them. You also align with the mass belief system for the need of animal physicians. (Pause) CATHY: I don’t know what to say! ELIAS: Creatures are quite capable, and do create their own reality, just as does an atom or a cell. They may align with your creations, within an expression of helpfulness, for your awareness, for they do not hold the belief systems that you hold. They do not create physicians to care for them, for they hold an innate sense – a knowing – that they may heal themselves. Therefore, it is unnecessary for their creation of this occupation. This is a human creation. You align with this creation within mass belief systems. Express now, how you believe that you are engaging these belief systems and altering your perception. CATHY: Oh man! Altering my perception? I don’t know. I don’t know! ELIAS: (Chuckling) Ah, Shynla [Cathy]! Still very young! (Grinning) You have begun to engage these belief systems by allowing yourself the opportunity to be viewing these, accepting the possibility that you may create an element of this reality, therefore opening to yourself the door to view elements of your own creations, and allowing yourself to widen these belief systems. For you not only have presented yourself with this experience, but you have drawn to yourself information from others who hold a different perception, allowing you to evaluate, therefore allowing yourself to ask yourself questions. Why does your creature incorporate this experience? Why does another not? CATHY: That’s true. I think about that all the time. ELIAS: You have engaged yourself. You shall widen your perception! You hold very strongly to these belief systems, as do these other individuals also to their individual perceptions of their issues and belief systems. You need only allow yourself an altering of your perception. Realize that you hold these belief systems. Allow yourself an acceptance of these belief systems. This is not to say, allow yourself a reinforcement! (Laughter) Acceptance is not necessarily reinforcement and perpetuation of these belief systems! CATHY: Well, believe me, I try. I have conversations about foxtails with myself everyday, when I walk out in the yard. I try to tell myself, ‘Just let it go. It’s gone. It’s over. You viewed it. You experienced it. Just let it go!’ But it’s really hard. It’s really hard! ELIAS: Within physical focus, quite often you view your own method for moving through belief systems to be ‘working them out.’ Therefore, you express this action physically. CATHY: It’s like, I can view the dogs next door, and I know they’re loaded, and I know they’re not gonna get one. I believe that! I believe the old dog isn’t gonna get one. But I worry like hell about the dogs that I’m responsible for, and I am trying! I am trying to mellow out, but it’s hard. What can I say? ELIAS: And you shall continue, and eventually, you shall listen to yourself! In this, you shall find no need for ‘trying,’ and you shall accomplish effortlessly. We shall also extend an acknowledgment of attending to other belief systems, which have been engaged and moved through. CATHY: Thank you. ELIAS: All hope is not lost yet!” (Laughter) [session 102, June 30, 1996] ELIAS: “Timing is everything! (Laughter) Is this not what ‘they’ say? (Grinning) We shall focus this evening’s discussion around your time element, as promised. To begin with, think to yourselves of your Einstein and his equation involving energy mass and light speed, which his incorporation was directly and also indirectly connected with time. In this, insert the element of time. Think to yourselves, in opposition of energy equals (energy = mass x speed of light squared), think of this concept in reverse; for if you are thinking of your light speed and incorporating your time element in relation to this, if you slow time, it creates mass and matter. This being why you have created a time element for physical focus. There are many things that seem to be beyond your perception, therefore seem invisible or non-existent for you may not visually perceive them. This is because of their relationship to your time element. Events appear within your focus dependent upon their ‘closeness,’ within time, to you. All physical focus is perceived through the present, the now; therefore all time intersects with the given present moment now, this allowing you your perception of events. If events do not enter your time element, they will not be perceived. There are many events outside, so to speak, of your time element. These, to you, are non-existent; for all that exists is within your time element, within your reality. The time element, in cooperation with the force of gravity, creates space arrangements. ... What is meant by this statement of space arrangements? These are the elements that allow matter or mass to materialize. Your perception is the adhesive that holds together the elements which create manifestation. Manifestation and materialization are not bound only to physical form; for your thoughts, emotions, concepts, psychological activity, are all within this realm also, intersecting within your present time element, allowing perception. As I have stated, if an event is not perceived, it will not be within your reality. Time is an interesting creation. It holds vast flexibility. This may be illustrated with a small experiment that I believe each of you has encountered throughout your focus. Holding an object such as a pencil immobile, this object appears rigid and solid. As you involve motion, a slow vibration to this object, it appears elastic and bendable; still holding its solidity within your perception, but incorporating a difference in your reality. In this same manner, events are perceived. The personality focus perceives events. This is translated to the intellect, which interprets certain events based on its direction of attention as base or ‘real.’ Within your perception, you perceive this one direction to be ‘real’; this being your primary perception. All other perceptions then become secondary or periphery. They incorporate an elasticity, and seem to be bendable. You interpret this many times as a distorted perception. It is not distorted. It has only not intersected completely into the present time ‘thickness.’ Within your present now, the time element holds a thickness which allows formation to appear; formation of objects, of thought, of emotion, of physical feeling, of sense data. Outside, in a manner of speaking, of this present now, or your perception of this present now, you may draw other events; but as they are being drawn as periphery, they are not perceived to be quite so ‘real.’ This creates confusion when you begin to encounter simultaneous time. When the intellect begins to attempt to interpret events which are not within its ‘real’ focus, it becomes confused. Therefore, it automatically attaches a secondary perception, which it incorporates a belief of ‘non-real’ to. This you encounter in many areas of your focus. Presently, within your intent of widening your awareness, this becomes a focal point of importance, for you begin to incorporate other events which lie outside of your baseline or ‘real’ interpretation. Elements of consciousness cross over each other. Events begin to be perceived differently. States of consciousness, such as your dream state or other altered states, begin to filter into your objective awareness, which may be confusing to the intellect which is accustomed to interpreting events in one direction. This you have created purposefully; for holding a base or ‘real,’ as you interpret it, perception allows you less confusion, and an intensity of experience. This is not to suggest that you will experience no intensity within the periphery; although as you incorporate an acceptance of ‘side perceptions,’ the experience seems not to hold such intensity for you have allowed a wider awareness, incorporating more experiences in a greater variety, accepting more of your own subjective expressions. Therefore, objective incorporation seems less intensified; this being also the effort, so to speak, in avoiding trauma within your shift; for this lessening of intensity is a natural by-product of widening of awareness. There is more trust and acceptance of what you view to be ‘unusual.’ This also may be distracting! It is difficult to incorporate trauma if you are very distracted! (Grinning) If you are pursuing many avenues of consciousness, you are quite occupied; therefore you allow yourself no ‘time’ to experience fear and trauma. You incorporate confusion with your past, future, present ideas; viewing the present as now and all others to be almost irrelevant, for they have either not occurred yet or have already occurred, and nothing may be done about these events. As there is no separation of time dimensions, only different areas of time ‘thickness,’ this is a limited perception. Each event that you choose alters the present, the past, the future. I shall give a small example. You incorporate your new game. (6) You investigate other focuses. You interrupt, so to speak, the natural occurrences or events presently simultaneously occurring, thereby changing them. You do this, at times, without incorporating your new game. You may accomplish this within your dream state. Within the symbolism and the layers of your dream state, in consciousness, you affect other focuses. As they are occurring simultaneously, there is no one event which is ‘permanent.’ I have been involved in many physical focuses in relation to Michael [Mary]. Michael’s [Mary’s] experience may not appear in my memory, for within my memory, it did not occur, for he may change what you view to have already occurred, therefore eliminating my previous experience and subsequent memory of an event. You, within what you term to be future probabilities, which are no different than past probabilities, may likewise alter an action. In this, you affect and change the perception of those also involved with that action. Another may change their action, eliminating your memory of an event, for it no longer exists. In this, when I speak to you that it no longer exists, understand that the reason you perceive an event to no longer exist is that it has been removed from the time element. Therefore, it loses its thickness and relation to you within physical focus. This is not to say that an event changed ‘poofs away’ and is non-existent within any probability or actuality anywhere. It is to say that you may rearrange events, pulling or pushing into or out of your time element, which changes events. Even within subjective expression, an intersection must be accomplished for the expression to be manifest, for all areas connected with physical focus incorporate time elements. Where you may view events to be elastic or bendable is within other states of consciousness. You may access other states of consciousness, and what you perceive within them may be confusing or seem not quite real, or it may seem very real, but rearranged. You may encounter an event within a room and perceive the room almost identical to what you perceive in your real perception, but small elements may appear different. A lamp may look different. A chair may be out of place. An individual may be displaying unusual behavior. These are not distortions of perception. They are encounters with your periphery; just as if you engage visually straight forward and notice, continuing to view straight forward, your peripheral vision, physically the edges shall appear blurred. This does not make the elements any less real or solid within your reality. You only view them to be slightly out of focus. Symbolism also is not necessarily a distortion in perception. All things, as your Einstein stated, are relative. You view anything which is not within your primary ‘real’ view and perception to be distorted. This is not necessarily the case! You may pull events from other areas of consciousness within the mass, or individually. In this, it is not an element of your personal directed attention. Therefore, it seems distorted to you, for you view the elasticity and the bendable qualities of events that have not quite formed within the thickness of your present moment. You may engage in an action and choices within one moment. You may rearrange this action and these choices within a limited time period, changing the initial action and choices; for they all intersect within the now. (Pause, looking around at everybody) (Vic’s note: those of us who are not asleep are really ‘spacing out!’)Was I not warning you ‘ahead of time’ to be prepared for these concepts? I am losing the focus of the individuals as they drift into other areas of consciousness! (Chuckling) Very well. You may ‘still’ with these perceptions presently within this moment and allow yourselves a time element to assimilate this information. Make no mistake, these concepts affect you daily, for they are involved with every encounter and choice that you make. We shall briefly break, and we shall return for our game (7), and I shall then leave you for your interaction. (Vic’s note: I looked up ‘still’ in the dictionary. An obsolete definition is ‘to distill’; to drip or to trickle.) BREAK 8:42 PM.
ELIAS: Continuing: You are correct in your perception, Yarr [Jim], of the thickness of the time element, this being that which creates the element for your perception; this being also why you may, in actuality, view air. Your perception is the only element that eliminates visual contact with many elements within your reality. You may in actuality physically view, at any given moment, a thought holding solidity, dropping as a brick before you upon your ground, if you are so choosing. For as I have stated, thoughts hold the same action and manifestation as an object. They do incorporate mass. You may not perceive them within matter, but the energy which has been inserted into your time element, slowing the motion of the event, creates mass, therefore what you may consider to be a ‘weightiness.’ It may not appear as solid as your table, but your arrangement of space, with regard to emotion or thought or psychological activity, is different. For you create it differently. Thought concepts, even emotions, may hold what you perceive to be solidity, if you are choosing to view these events in this manner; this being why Michael [Mary] incorporates clouds (8), allowing the events to enter into the solidity of the time element, which may then be perceived with physical form; this being why I have stated that your perceptions are not always distortions. Your understanding of what you perceive may be distorted, (laughter) but what you view is not necessarily a distortion. It only appears outside of your ‘real’ reality, for you are allowing manifestation of events not usually perceived in this manner. All action within consciousness may be categorized as events. Therefore, your table also is an event, for it is an action within consciousness being perceived, within the element of time thickness, with solidity. Think to your pencil. I shall anticipate each of you shall incorporate a pencil between your fingers, vibrating it slowly to view the alteration of perception. In this same manner, as I have stated, other events, such as other focuses to which you tap, hold their own form of solidity. It does not appear to you to be as solid as your chair or your table, for it is outside of your directed attention, therefore ‘off to the side’ of your ‘realness’ of perception. Therefore, you view another focus, within your new game, as not quite as real as this real! You may accomplish widening your perception, and allowing yourself the reality of your periphery; and in this, you shall view unblurred, and you may experience within the same element of reality, or perception of reality, that you hold within your present attention. It is noteworthy to be contemplating and allowing yourself the information of no time element outside of your focus. It is also beneficial to you, within your awareness and your acceptance of trust of self, to be understanding that all choices, all events, within all time dimensions, are elastic. They are not permanent. They are relative to the moment, and may be changed at any other moment. You may experience an event holding trauma, which you do not experience within this present moment. You may change, in actuality, the occurrence of the event, simply with your perception. You may experience a broken arm, within what you perceive to be your past. Within your present, you may incorporate the reality of no experience of the broken arm. You may visit your physician, who shall x-ray your bones, and they shall show no sign of breakage; for you have altered presently what you view to be past, for they occur simultaneously, intertwined and intersecting. You may express, ‘I lived within a red house as a child.’ Another individual may express to you, ‘Oh, no. As a child, you lived within a blue house.’ You have already changed your reality; for if you incorporate your new game, you shall revisit your childhood house, and it shall bear red paint. Your perception is the adhesive which binds the time element, the gravitational force, and the space arrangement. Even your scientists presently have begun to view that elements of what you perceive to be your universe are relative to perception. If they are not perceived, they do not exist within physical focus. You may express to me, ‘Ah! Are you expressing that new insect life discovered within our rain forests, never viewed before, did not exist until perceived by an individual?’ You, as persons, are not the only focuses upon this planet, and you do not hold the only perceptions; but nothing shall exist unperceived within physical focus, for you have created this as your method for manifestation. Are you wishing questions? JIM: So animals within the rain forest, their perception would create this insect? ELIAS: It is within probabilities. Creatures perceive many elements that you do not perceive.RON: I think we talked about this a long time ago. I might be able to understand it better now. If I was to be able to widen my perception to incorporate simultaneous time, it seems to me that that would become confusing. ELIAS: This is why you choose to widen your awareness in increments, therefore allowing yourselves adjustments to unfamiliar perceptions. As I have stated previously, you have manifest within physical form with a quite efficient expression physically. You do not incorporate what you view to be the usage, objectively, of your capabilities within this physical expression. Your physical brain is quite equipped to ‘handle’ all of these perceptions and not incorporate confusion; just as you may physically engage in more than one activity within the same time space, to your perception. You may engage a partial conversation, incorporate your television, your computer, your telephone, your animals, the recognition of day as opposed to night, your heat or cold elements, all of your sense data, and you may also smash your finger and experience painfulness, all simultaneously, and your brain and perceptions may accommodate all of these elements. You perceive much more than you realize. Your sense data, that your physical expression exposes itself to and interacts with continually, does not confuse you! You allow it, in actuality, no thought. In a similar manner, as I expressed earlier, the intensity of the events becomes less. Therefore, you may encounter many events simultaneously and allow yourself to direct your attention in whichever area you choose, while simultaneously being aware of all other activity. You will always incorporate a dominant perception, for this is how you have created physical manifestation; interacting and intersecting within a time element. Therefore, even within a wider awareness, you will continue to hold a more dominant perception in one direction, but you will allow for the secondary perceptions to be viewed and accepted as reality, without struggle, without question. RON: So within your consciousness, are you interacting and communicating equally with others right now, as you are with us? ELIAS: Correct. Within your perception presently, our engagement through this phenomenon seems singular. Elias arrives, Elias interacts, Elias departs. In actuality, Elias does not arrive, for Elias is already present! Elias is also present within many other areas of consciousness simultaneously to what you would view to be equal, within perception. RON: And that’s what we’re shootin’ for! (Laughter) ELIAS: (Humorously) Eventually, within your time phrasing! Within your shift, you will not incorporate becoming demigods! (Chuckling) You shall hold an awareness of elements of essence and focuses within physical, to which you discount presently. You shall hold an understanding of belief systems, accepting these, allowing yourselves to be not responding and reacting to these belief systems. You shall experience interaction, with individuals within transition areas of consciousness, without effort, as you would view to be commonplace. You shall view elements of yourselves; other focuses of your essence, other aspects of yourselves; your counterparts, your facets, your fragments ... effortlessly. You shall hold the awareness, allowing yourselves an undistorted interpretation of your experiences, therefore not detracting from your experiences, but enhancing these experiences with a clear understanding of the experiences. In your terms presently, you shall know quite a lot! (Grinning) You shall be very aware. You shall also enhance and expand your creativity immensely; for presently, as tremendous as your creativity is expressed, it is quite limited. You shall eliminate these limitations, and hold the ability to express your creativity multidimensionally. (Pause) VICKI: I have a question. Today I experienced what I perceived to be a connection with a focus that I viewed recently in our new game. Was that the same sort of thing? Did I have the experience today ... No. Did I have the experience in the TFE because of the simultaneous experience that I had today, and therefore perceived that focus in the TFE? ELIAS: You did not experience the event within your new game ‘because of!’ You did not experience the event of this present past moment ‘because of!’ You allowed yourself to notice a re-visitation of a focus, thereby connecting within simultaneous time with this other focus, allowing yourself to incorporate more reality within your present time element; this being where your reality ‘becomes real’ within your present now perception. It was not ‘real past.’ It is ‘real present.’ You view a connection presently of another focus. You are allowing yourself to connect, through probabilities, into other time dimensions which ‘straddle’ your reality simultaneously. Therefore, as we have stated previously, you do not move backward of forward. You move ‘to the side,’ to view a parallel. Within your incorporation of widening your awareness, you allow yourselves to ‘step sideways’ and view the connections within the parallels of different focuses and realities, therefore altering your perception and incorporating more of your periphery, unblurred. RON: ... I did have one question, about the term ‘altered states.’ This [objective] state right here, do you consider it an altered state too? ELIAS: Dependent upon your perception, yes. This, within my perception, would be considered an altered state. Although it is incorporated with ease and holds the same attention, if engaged, as what you think of as your directed attention. For within this area of non-physical focus, there holds a directedness within intent, but not singularly within perception or awareness. ‘Altered states’ is the term used to differentiate between your normally accepted directed attention within your perception, which you interpret as ‘real,’ as opposed to all subjective states of consciousness, which are equally real, but not perceived in this manner. As we continue with engagement with you, we move with the intent to be assisting in your awareness and acceptance of altered states, creating a focus incorporating them as reality, therefore eliminating altered states!” [session 106, July 21, 1996] ELIAS: Good evening! (Smiling, as we all acknowledge verbally) The question has been posed, ‘What is our world coming to?’ (Humorously, grinning) The statements have been made in the direction that you are surely headed for annihilation! Your societies seem to be traveling swiftly downward! You view catastrophic events occurring throughout your world, all around you, which, within your perception, seems to be escalating as your ‘time’ passes. We have spoken of pools of consciousness previously, to which you collectively ‘tap into’ within certain centuries, manifesting your alignment with Source Events that correlate within those centuries. Within this century, you all engage this action also, connecting within consciousness, forming pools of consciousness, manifesting your intent for this present. Within this particular century, and continuing with our mass events, you have chosen to be escalating certain elements of your expressions. You also are perceiving differently. Just as we have spoken of mass events and individual events, and how individual events reflect mass events, now you may view, within your perception, the reverse; looking to yourselves, examining your expressions and creations within your physical focus, and correlate these with mass expressions appearing within your time frame. As you widen, you allow your perception to change. You notice more of the unofficial expressions; this being part of your periphery. (To Vicki, grinning) Yes, we shall enter this subject once again, Lawrence [Vicki]! Within your perception, you view mass events to be more violent within your present times, more chaotic, more leaning towards your destruction. In actuality, the events are only altered by your development of your technology and your focus, therefore allowing you a greater range of expression. Whereas within your past history, individuals needed to travel physically to accomplish what you perceive to be violent acts, now within your present time frame, actual individuals need not be present; for you have developed technology to replace individual action with technological action, which may facilitate acts for you. In this, you have also developed more efficient methods of gaining your attention. Let me express to you that also within mass consciousness, just as within individual consciousness and expressions, countries and cultures express repressed desires and emotions, as do you individually. As we have spoken previously of repressed impulses, ignored impulses, blocked energy, these elements must be expressed within one direction or another; for energy is continuously within motion, and within your physical focus and your element of time thickness, this is what you have created, for your expressions to be manifest physically. Therefore, within mass consciousness, there are elements ignored and also repressed, which express themselves in what you view to be undesirable areas. Just as you may be creating your geysers by not allowing your attention to your impulses, within mass consciousness you also create geysers. These are not always expressed within your natural elements of weather conditions, atmospheric conditions, or earth conditions. Many times, actions are expressed as pressure valves, which you view to be negative. This, throughout your history, has been expressed. It is perceived differently now. Also, there are some elements which are manifest slightly different in that although you do not, in actuality, express more violent behavior presently than you have throughout your history. You notice more now; for just as you are becoming more aware of your own individual expressions, and noticing the connections and the ‘unofficial’ lines of action or periphery, so also do you notice within mass consciousness. Therefore, you become more aware of the expressions which manifest en masse, and you connect more within your perception, for you are noticing more. These are not accidental occurrences. Your technological advances have been initiated and carried forth to be facilitating this awareness. It all works within a harmony. At our last meeting, we spoke of elements of time, and your ability to alter perceptions and also actual events within consciousness. These ideas have caused much confusion in some areas, for you express you do not view this reality of which I have spoken. You do not allow yourselves to view, for your attention is held by your dominant perception, and if this dominant perception is challenged, you may express that you believe differently. But, just as we have expressed many times, what you think you believe and what you actually believe may be very different things! I have also expressed to you, many times, that you do not trust self. Within a trust of self, there also is an acceptance of self, and of one’s own knowing. This is not a ‘possible’ knowing; this is an absolute knowing! Therefore, you may engage in argument that the house is one color, and you may hold a photograph of the house existing as a different color! This actualizes because you do not trust your own knowing and your own perception! (Grinning at Vicki) If your perception is challenged, you automatically question. Within yourself, you allow for the possibility of incorrectness. Therefore, you do not hold an absolute knowingness. When you hold an absolute knowingness, you shall perceive what you have created, as with your [alien] creature! You have offered yourselves examples already. You have experienced already these concepts presented to you. You discount these experiences, for they do not align with your official, ‘real,’ quotations, (laughter) perceptions. Also, I shall add that true to form, you continue to perceive in very rigid directions, believing that if you are affecting and changing a reality, it shall be ‘stuck!’ It shall change and be this reality, ever on! (Humorously) I have expressed, you create your reality within the moment, and it is ever-changing; therefore you may, just as you did with your creature, change your reality within an instant! Dependent upon your belief and your solidity of your belief, you may also change any other reality at any moment. When I express to you that you are ever-changing your realities, present, future, past, continuously, this is not to say that you are engaging within what you would perceive to be extreme changes, for this is unnecessary. Within consciousness, you hold a realization that all things are actualized, whether within this dimension or within another dimension. Therefore, it is unnecessary to be continually, extremely altering your events. Then, you attempt to experiment. You attempt to challenge the concept. Therefore, you choose a focus and you attempt to alter a past occurrence or perception. You, within your perception, do not accomplish; therefore you express, ‘This is not true!’ Within your attempt, you in actuality do not believe what you are attempting! (Chuckling) You are as small children, rebelling and not accepting, therefore expressing your own individual control of your focus, and expressing an arrogance. ‘I shall create this; I shall alter this event’; to which you automatically accept that your ‘supposed’ inability to accomplish this act automatically indicates that it is not possible! You view your reality within one direction, as I stated at our last meeting. This creates what you view and interpret as your ‘real’ reality. All other elements outside of this ‘real’ are unaccepted. They are ignored. But, just as we have spoken to Olivia [Ron] as to your confusion within accepting your periphery, if you are allowing yourself the ‘letting go,’ so to speak, of your insistent control, you shall allow yourself to view unofficial elements of your present reality. These elements occur continuously. We have stated this to you many, many times; but each time you are presented with information that is ‘outside’ of your official ‘real’ reality, it is unaccepted! This is not only individuals very ‘planted’ which express this same idea! Within different elements of periphery, all individuals hold a non-acceptance of different, unofficial reality. You each incorporate different areas that seem to be more difficult. As you are widening your perceptions, you are presenting yourselves with difficult issues. You challenge your own official reality. You shall attain an understanding, whether you believe this presently or not! You are moving within consciousness into a wider perception, allowing more information and allowing more of your periphery. Contemplate your creature! (Staring at Vicki) I shall also allow you another small example, which each of you have also experienced. You only do not allow yourselves your remembrance, for these are unofficial events. They hold no explanation, within your perception. Therefore, you automatically disregard them. You experienced, as you view to be past, an engagement with Michael [Mary], to which Shynla [Cathy] was also privy to this event; a conversation, which Lawrence [Vicki] was insistent upon its occurrence. Michael [Mary] holds no memory of this event. (9) You have repeated this within your new game, for you have actualized what I have expressed to you. You may be affecting of another individual’s perception and memory, or they may be affecting of their own by altering their probabilities, therefore not engaging within the action; although you perceive a remembrance of this action. You hold no explanations for these events. Therefore, at the time of their occurrences, they seem to you, within your perceptions, to be small. You may incorporate irritation temporarily, or frustration, but you also very quickly will be not remembering of these events, for they do not follow your official reality. Therefore, they hold no importance. You focus upon what you view to be important. You are not attentive to what you view to be unimportant, regardless of what you view to be the size of the event. If you view trusting your house to be important, your attention will be focused in this area. If you view this to not be important, your attention will not be within this area; and you will accomplish or you will not accomplish these acts, dependent upon your perception of their importance. We have discussed these elements previously. I do not express to you that within consciousness, you are ‘bouncing about the cosmos,’ hopping into focuses here and there, altering realities everywhere, and obliterating memories of individuals throughout the universe, for you are not! (Laughter) I also am not expressing that you accomplish this en masse, or within what you perceive to be, underline perceive, more distant connections. But within what you perceive to be close connections, you may accomplish this action, dependent upon the probabilities that you choose. You are continually creating your reality. Your reality is not dependent upon any other individual personality focus or essence. Therefore, each probability that you choose is a creation of your individual reality. I may choose a different probability, altering the memory, not altering the reality or the action; for within the action, all things are actualized, as we have stated. But, just as you may play your game of ‘bumper cars,’ you may bump an action ‘out of its bounds,’ so to speak. It continues to exist, but within an individual focus, a memory may also be ‘bumped.’ There are difficult concepts, I am aware; but as my dear comrade has expressed (10), you are ready to be accepting of these concepts. Therefore, they are offered. They may require a little more effort within accomplishing your effortlessness, (grinning) but you shall attain a wider perception, and you shall understand! Therefore also, I shall direct to Lawrence [Vicki], before questioning, contemplate, consider first. Allow your awareness the freedom to be viewing your periphery. If you then continue to experience tremendous confusion, I shall offer helpfulness. VICKI: Okay. It’s really hard, though! (Laughing) ELIAS: I am acknowledging of this! We are understanding of the difficulty within these concepts; for as I have stated, you view within one direction. We offer information within another direction. It is unfamiliar to you. Therefore, it is also unacceptable, but you do hold a willingness to examine and to be allowing your perceptions to widen, even within your confusion. I shall express to you all also, you are accomplishing quite well. (Vicki sighs) Personal invalidation, once again! (Laughter) VICKI: How about one teensy little question? ELIAS: Of course, Lawrence [Vicki]! (Grinning) Although I shall make a statement that eventually, you shall be not arguing telepathically, expressing, ‘I am not widening very well!’ Eventually, you shall accept yourself! I shall be anticipating that day! (Grinning) Continue. VICKI: Could you just briefly explain one more time why Michael [Mary] forgot that conversation? ELIAS: There are many elements involved within this situation. Michael [Mary] was choosing of probabilities to be viewing ‘blinking out’; engaging what you, within that now, were terming to be ‘fuzzy.’ In actuality, as I was expressing to you, he was allowing himself to be connecting and viewing the ‘blinking out’ time. In this, shifting the perception to not be focused entirely consciously within the ‘blinking on’ of this particular dimension and reality, viewing another aspect of your reality. In this, altering the probabilities of events, therefore in actuality not engaging with the conversation to which Lawrence [Vicki] perceived the engagement. Within this official ‘real’ reality, you view actualized events. You view unofficial events to be ‘ghost aspects.’ If you are shifting your perception, you may enter areas of your own present consciousness physically to which the ghost aspects, which we have spoken of previously, become the primary; and this aspect, which you view to be real, becomes the ghost aspect. Therefore, the conversation occurred, but not within Michael’s [Mary’s] reality. Therefore, he holds no memory. Lawrence [Vicki] holds memory, for in actuality the conversation occurred, within your reality. This you may view to be an example of how you each create your own realities independently of each other, and although you may perceive one reality simultaneously within the same dimension and focus, another individual may perceive an entirely different reality within the same event; this being also the reason for the issuance of caution to you each recently; for as you are widening in awareness, you are becoming more aware of the reality of ‘each individual creates their own reality.’ In this, you are beginning, now, to be accepting of your individual responsibility of your own creation of your reality. I have expressed to you, within our previous sessions much time ago, that you hold enough responsibility within your individual self, that you need not be concerned with holding responsibility for any other individual. You now are beginning to view this expression ... very, very, very slightly! (Laughter) You shall be astonished at the rapidness of this becoming a ‘real’ reality! You have begun already. You shall accelerate quickly. (Smiling) We shall break, and we shall continue with questions, and our game. BREAK 7:33 PM. (This is a very short break)
ELIAS: We continue. I shall address initially to a slight misunderstanding. In actuality, Lawrence [Vicki] and Shynla [Cathy] are both correct within their perceptions of the subject I have been speaking about. I have offered you two examples, two individual occurrences, of which the same action occurred. The first, so to speak, occurrence, Shynla [Cathy] is correct. You were present subsequently as these individuals of Shynla [Cathy], Lawrence [Vicki], Olivia [Ron], and Michael [Mary] all met together subsequent to the conversation, which was occurring upon your telephone apparatus between Michael [Mary] and Lawrence [Vicki]. You four individuals then agreed to be meeting socially, this prior to Shynla’s [Cathy’s] traveling to Vienna; this being the time period of the blinking out. The conversation was held during what you perceive to be your daytime. You subsequently met socially, which now appears to not be within Lawrence’s [Vicki’s] memory! (Laughter) Therefore, being altered once again! (Grinning) This was addressed previously, as we spoke of blinking out and the lack of awareness of actions occurring within this focus. Michael [Mary] was not remembering of the conversation, as if it had not occurred. This action was expressed and shared with Shynla [Cathy] and Olivia [Ron]; Lawrence [Vicki] and Michael [Mary] questioning, ‘What has occurred this day?’ each of you not holding an explanation. Point made! (Grinning) It did not ‘fit into’ your official reality! Therefore, after the actual occurrence, holding no explanation for the occurrence, the event moved into an area of unimportance, not being accepted or focused upon. Therefore, you now do not even remember the occurrence! VICKI: What was the occurrence? ELIAS: (Very patiently) You engaged within a telephone conversation. Lawrence [Vicki] was expressing ideas concerning Shynla [Cathy] to Michael [Mary], anticipating a social meeting for dinner with Shynla [Cathy]. Lawrence [Vicki], connecting with Michael [Mary] physically in transporting Michael [Mary] to the social engagement, expressed a continuance of the conversation, to which Michael [Mary] expressed much confusion, not holding a memory of this conversation previous at all. The second example was in reference to your new game, to which the same action occurred, but within different reasoning. (11) This was not an action of ‘blinking out’ upon Michael’s [Mary’s] part. This was a changing of probabilities and an allowance of a perception of a wider awareness, allowing yourself to be viewing and connecting with the experience incorporated within your new game, as I have expressed previously. Therefore, your actions were different within these different expressions, but your alteration of your present reality was the same; eradicating memory, altering occurrences. VICKI: So, is there such a thing as a bad memory? ELIAS: Only within your perception! (Pause, grinning) CELIA: I liked the way you explained that the event did not fit into the consciousness. ELIAS: You accept one official direction for your attention. Within this, you do not accept what you view to be ‘unofficial data.’ Therefore, you label unofficial data as unreal; for only that element of your perception, to which you hold your primary attention, is considered real and acceptable. This is not to say that unofficial occurrences or events are not real, for they are. You only allow your perception to interpret to you that they are not real! This is a result of non-balance between the intellect and the intuition; an allowance of the intellect to be more focused upon. (Pause) Are you wishing questions? (Vic’s note: another pause, and then Elias addresses the question I was just getting ready to ask. Interesting!) I shall answer a question, not verbally expressed, as to the perception of energy of non-physically focused essences, and its seeming to be more apparent at times. In actuality, you perceive correctly; for as I have stated, the presence is continuous. Although, just as we have spoken at our last meeting of the intersection of events and energy into your thickness of time element, even subjective events must be perceived within the thickness of this element; therefore allowing you a perception. Within a more concentrated intersection and a more directed intersection, you perceive more. You experience, not only consciously but physically, an interaction between your own energy and that energy of other essences. To be adding to this information, there is also ‘always a reason’ for this intersection! (Grinning) It is only left to your interpretations. This is not to say that each time that you experience this intersection of Elias’ energy with your own, that I am wishing to be verbally speaking to you; but I am wishing your attention, which I receive! Each time I myself or my dear friend Paul (Patel) intersects, it is for the purpose of your noticing. CELIA: ... There is a situation in my workplace where I have to see into different realities, because I’ve been presented with different realities by different individuals. How do I discern the truth, and be honest and fair to the individuals involved? ELIAS: By understanding that each individual creates their own reality. In this, each individual expressing is expressing what they perceive to be true. Your acceptance of each individual’s reality shall be helpful, and shall also be eliminating elements of conflict. It is not necessary for you, for any of you, to be ‘choosing sides.’ When you incorporate this action, you place a judgment in one area or another. In holding to the expression of essence, and tolerance and non-judgment, you hold an acceptance of all realities; realizing, in actuality, that each individual is creating their reality. It is real! (Firmly) You may view one reality, within your perception, as being more real than another; but this, in actuality, is irrelevant, for this is only your perception. Each individual creates real reality! Just as Shynla [Cathy] has inquired previously of untruthfulness and the expression of an individual being untruthful to you, it matters not. They are creating their own real, underline twice, reality! Therefore, in being your little tree (12), remind yourself of acceptance. Remind yourself of your responsibility in only being the little tree, and not concerning yourself with the twisted or convoluted little tree; for it shall unconvolute itself, and this is not your responsibility! If you are accepting of each individual’s reality, you shall not be placing judgments upon one versus another; which shall be quite affecting of your own conflict! It shall dissipate, and you shall feel conflict no longer, for you shall understand that it is unnecessary. Connect with the story of the two small saplings that I have offered previously, and you may better understand.” [session 107, July 28, 1996] RETA: “May I ask you a question on time? In my objective world, a couple of times I’ve been able to make a day like two or three, just bend it out and get a lot done without any apparent planning or anything. The day was fine, I felt good about it, I got a lot accomplished and went a lot of places, and I looked at the clock and I still had time to go. What did I do and how can I do that more often? ELIAS: This is an alteration of perception. You may choose, consciously, to alter your perception; just as within the throes of an emotional or physical expression or experience, you may choose, objectively, consciously, to alter the experience; just as you may change your experience within your dream state. I have expressed previously within this forum that if you are choosing, you may alter your dream state. Within your beginning steps, so to speak, of dream interaction and activity, you may teach yourselves to alter your dream state. If you are experiencing what you term to be a nightmare, you may choose within the activity to stop and change the dream activity, or you may choose to awaken yourself. In this same manner, if you are, within your waking state, experiencing what you term to be an extreme emotional expression, you may consciously think and choose to alter this state. You may express to yourself, if you allow yourself the conscious awareness of your state, you may express to yourself, ‘I choose consciously to alter this state,’ and you may change this, and it will work! You may also consciously choose your time affectingness. If you are allowing your conscious brain, as you think of it, to be racing, racing, racing through your day, your day shall appear very short. If you are consciously creating the effort to be slowing your perception, you shall expand your experience of your time element. It is your choice, and you hold the conscious ability and ‘control,’ in your words, to accomplish these acts. If your thoughts and feelings are scattered and racing and you are allowing their movement chaotically, you shall experience rapid movement of your time element. Your day shall appear quite short. BOB: Can I offer an additional question to that? ELIAS: You may. BOB: I have days when I seem to get more accomplished. The opposite of that is the days when I don’t. It strikes me that the days when I don’t get things accomplished are times when I am continually bombarded with distractions. And if I understand some of what we’re doing here, you tend to bring distractions to yourself. So to answer your question of how would you get more done, it strikes me that if you bring less distraction to yourself, you have more efficiency within the things that you want to accomplish. RETA: Maybe that’s true, except that on those days I was bombarded with distractions that I hadn’t planned on, and yet I got more done. At 3:00 in the afternoon I was saying, ‘I still have time to do more, even with the distractions.’ I never could figure that out because there was no plan. BOB: Distractions take different forms. There are distractions that really don’t deter you from accomplishing, and there are distractions that cause you to lose time, if you will, and being able to manipulate which is which would be how you would gain control over what you want to do, as opposed to just simply being subject to it. RETA: I am subject to it, on a daily basis. BOB: Right. Well, that’s my point, though. RETA: I have no control. BOB: Right. Am I wrong, though? RETA: In a couple of instances, I’ve been able to have control. One lady at the Seth conference said she will just have all this bombardment and turn around and say, ‘Okay, take a breath. At the end of the day it’s all gonna be done anyway, so don’t worry about it.’ And then she does. I’ve got to get a better frame of mind on those things and use that time, to just allow itself to flow. ELIAS: This would be your choice. Many times your day, as has been stated previously, may appear to be quite lengthy, for your attention wanders and you are bored and you are unfocused. In this same respect, you may be unfocused allowing much activity, which your attention also wanders, but your allowance of your mental activity is chaotic and racing. This shall create the effect of time passing very quickly. Both of these situations are quite objectively, physically manipulable. (Elias is making up words again!) RETA: That’s what I want to do. ELIAS: It is only a question of recognition of your focus, a recognition of your activity within the moment and an allowance of yourself to focus your attention. This allows you the control of manipulation of your time element; but just as you have shown yourselves within our exercise (13) ... Oh, no! Our exercise, once again! ... that you hold a great lacking in clarity in your focus, you may show yourselves within your manipulation of your attention that although you believe yourselves to be attentive and aware, and not chaotic within your thought processes and your perception of your time element, you are quite scattered! In an effort and attempt to be allowing yourself clarity, beginning with our exercise, you may also offer yourselves the opportunity to be manipulating more efficiently and more clearly within your objective focus, which you may also be manipulating of your time element. Therefore, there are more benefits to this exercise than you recognize as of this moment.” [session 140, December 15, 1996] DREW: “I have a question. It seems like every week I’m having new kinds of imagery! For the past few weeks, I’ve had the interesting experience of ... I’m not quite sure how to describe it ... of reconciling the scale of things. For example, when I look at you sitting in that chair, I can spread my fingers apart and fit you into this space. As I sit here and look at you, it’s hard for me to understand or perceive that you’re actually larger than this. Or when I’m driving and there’s a car in front of me and the rear end of the car, to my perception, is an inch, and yet I have a hard time perceiving or understanding or realizing that the car is actually bigger than that. Scale seems to be kind of a strange thing for me right now, the past couple of weeks, and I’m wondering if you can enlighten me. ELIAS: I have suggested to you all that you engage your inner senses and be recognizing of these and attempting to be manipulating your own inner senses. You offer yourself, in response, the recognition of altered perception. Elements within your reality are a perception. They are reality, but their reality is not absolute. It may be altered through your perception. You may perceive any object and you may alter its form or its qualities--its size, its dimension, its color, any aspect of the perceived object--and it may appear differently. In this appearance, it is also reality. Therefore, you are offering yourself the viewing of different realities. DREW: What’s strange about this is that at any time in the past it would be normal to look at you and see you as about this big, because in terms of perspective and how far away I am from you and the angle I’m viewing you, that looks right. But in the past I would be able to somehow process that and understand that you’re not actually that big. It’s making that leap that I’m having trouble with right now. ELIAS: For you are attempting to incorporate new information. In what you term to be the past you are rationalizing your perception, therefore only allowing the incorporation of your officially accepted reality. You now present yourself the opportunity to be viewing differently. In this, you engage your inner senses, which create the reality. Therefore, in your thought process this becomes confused, for it is unfamiliar to you to be incorporating both elements as reality. You look to your perception and you express, ‘This is only a perception,’ although you may express any perception is only a perception and may be altered, but this does not diminish its reality. Therefore, all of your perceptions are reality. What you find confusion within presently is incorporating the idea that all perceptions are reality; for there must appear to be one reality, and other viewings of that one reality are merely perceptions which you differentiate from reality. It is all reality! You are offering yourself the opportunity to be viewing this and accepting that as this physical form appears to your perception to be merely inches tall, it is ... in one perception of reality. It is unnecessary for you to be denying of this and rationalizing, expressing that this may not be. It is! You view objects within your perception visually continuously differently. You rationalize and accept that your perception is colored or altered and unacceptable and unreal, that there is only one reality. Therefore, you place your interpretation into this one official reality, and rationalize or excuse away all other perceptions as non-reality. They are not non-reality. They are equally real. They are only not accepted as real. Although you may not view yourselves to be intentionally engaging subjective activity from an objective standpoint, and you may not view yourselves to be accomplishing or recognizing subjective bleed-through, you are moving within this direction of attention. You are allowing yourself alterations of your perceptions that you may not necessarily fit into your accepted reality quite so easily. The reason they are not fitting into your accepted reality is that you are allowing yourself to be recognizing the reality of other elements which are incorporated within your reality, that you choose not to be noticing of normally. DREW: So this experience I’ve been having the past couple of weeks is sort of a crack in the door to the inner senses and subjective reality? I seem to be able to have some control over this particular phenomenon. I can kind of turn it on and off, although sometimes I can’t turn it off, which is a little disconcerting! But if I want to explore it more deeply and open that door even wider, should I just continue to be aware of it? Or is there another level I can take it to, the same phenomenon, and somehow use it as a wedge, if you will, into.... ELIAS: You may allow yourself an acceptance. Recognize that these activities hold no hurtfulness to you. Therefore, it is unnecessary to be incorporating fear, which shall be blocking of this activity. (Intently) You shall not be hurtful to yourself. DREW: At the same time, and I don’t know if it’s related to this phenomenon or not, but the past couple of weeks I’ve been kind of scatterbrained, and.... (Elias begins laughing) NORM: You’re not alone! (Laughter) DREW: Well, I’ve been doing things that ... I was [photographing] a wedding yesterday. This never happens to me. I had the wrong kind of film in the camera for a period of time. I’m just kind of being ... I want to use the word dizzy, but not in the sense of being physically dizzy, just being kind of not really very, if you will, focused. ELIAS: Quite! (Norm’s still laughing) DREW: Yeah! What’s that all about? Is that all part of the same phenomenon, or is this a different.... Are several things going on at once? ELIAS: In a manner of speaking. This presently may be identified as ‘a wave in consciousness.’ This same activity or action has been incorporated within mass. Many individuals are experiencing this same type of action, which seems to them to be inconsistent with their normal behavior. It is an indication of the movement within consciousness, which is unfamiliar to you, which is involving your shift. I have expressed to you many times that you all shall be experiencing many elements of action of this shift within yourselves individually. You do not understand what you are incorporating. Therefore, you become confused; this being why I have offered you information, to be looking and noticing of these elements and differences in behavior and perception and actions; for they shall be occurring, for you have chosen to be opening to subjective activity. In this, at times you may incorporate bleed-through subjective action which may appear to be exaggerated, as in examples I have offered that an object within your objective viewing may change shape or may become a different object, but there are many elements of movement which are to your perception appearing much more subtly, but are also actions of this shift in preparation for more intensified movement. You are all allowing yourselves, as I have stated, to be moving in increments slowly initially, that you may acclimate yourselves to unfamiliar behavior and perceptions. This shall continue and increase, within your choice to be continuing within the action of this shift. Therefore, I have also expressed to all our favorite word, of ‘noticing’ these actions and elements of perception. In accepting these elements, you may more easily move with the action of the shift, which you have chosen. If you are continuing to be resisting objectively and reinforcing your fearfulness, you shall also be experiencing more conflict and confusion. As I have stated, this being why I offer you this information, that you may recognize the movements. It is also, as I have expressed to you many times, important that you exchange with each other. Interaction is to your benefit. In this, as you exchange with each other, you may also reinforce yourselves that you are not experiencing singularly. You offer yourselves information that you may identify the movement of the shift, for you shall recognize many other individuals incorporating similar actions.” [session 190, July 06, 1997] ELIAS: “I have expressed over and over again, you shall not be eliminating your belief systems! This dimension that you have created within a physical focus is based in your belief systems. It is an intricate element of your physical manifestation within this particular dimension. It has been created purposefully. If you are eliminating of your belief systems, you are also eliminating of this particular physical dimension expression! Therefore, this is not the point. Your belief systems within themselves are not bad or good. They merely are. They are your own explanations. They are influencing of your perception, and your perception is your tool that you use to be creating of your reality within this dimension. Let us momentarily all visualize a game. You are the object of the game. Within your hands, you hold a stick. I shall inquire of you if any one of you is placing judgment upon the stick presently. DALE: Yes! ELIAS: Ah! DALE: Of course! ELIAS: A very bad stick! (Laughter) DALE: Oh, no, no, no! Actually, no! ELIAS: A very good stick! (Laughter) DALE: No, I wasn’t placing judgment on it. I described it to myself though, which I immediately – of course – thought that I was a BAD person for even thinking what the stick looked like! (Laughter) ELIAS: Now we shall clear this energy (blowing once) and we shall begin again! (Vic’s note: this ‘blowing once’ is Elias’ ‘clearing energy’ joke.) (Humorously) You are holding a stick. It is not a good stick; it is not a bad stick. You are not good or bad. You are merely standing, holding a stick. Now, you move in the direction of engaging a game. You place a ball upon your ground, and you push the ball with your stick. The ball is not bad or good either, and it matters not which direction you are pushing the ball with the stick. You are merely pushing. You are also not racing with another individual, for no other individual is playing the game with you. You are playing the game yourself. Therefore, there is no competition, there is no race, there is no winner, there is no loser, and there are no rules. You may push the ball for as long as you desire or as short as you desire, and in whichever direction you desire. It is merely the action of pushing the ball with the stick. You are you, the expression of a focus of essence physically manifest. The stick is your belief system, and the ball is your perception. CATH: Can I just throw something in here? What if you get bored with the stick and you want to pick the stick up ... I mean the ball up in the air, or you want to aim it toward a little hole? Or, you want to make life more interesting? ELIAS: It matters not. You may be moving the stick and the ball in whichever direction or expression that you are so choosing. CATH: Trying to accomplish something, you’re setting up goals for yourself? ‘I want to get that, and I want to hit it just right.’ ELIAS: If you are so choosing. It matters not. The point is that the stick is neutral. It is a tool to be creating of an action. The ball is accomplishing the action. The stick is facilitating the ball. The ball is accomplishing the direction and your intent. YOU are manipulating and directing the stick to be moving the ball in the direction that you choose. The stick is not good or bad. It is a tool. The ball is not good or bad. It is an expression within a motion, to be accomplishing your direction. Now; you may become frustrated with the ball if you are pushing the ball with the stick, and the ball is moving in a direction that is not matching your thought, and you may stomp upon the ball and you shall be creating conflict, for you shall be irritating yourself. CATH: I see it as being competitive with yourself. I’m very competitive with myself. Not with someone else; with me. ELIAS: Which you very successfully camouflage as motivation. In actuality, it is merely a camouflaged expression of the lack of acceptance of self, that if you are not challenging yourself, you are not creative enough to be motivating. CATH: Hmm! ELIAS: You are automatically motivated, for you are essence, and your natural movement and expression is to be becoming. Therefore, in becoming, you are continuously in motion and motivated. But your belief systems ... even those that you consider to be good, for good is a judgment also, quite equal to bad! Therefore, even in your expressions of GOOD aspects of belief systems, you are camouflaging the birds (14), and you are creating an acceptable expression of these bright birds that you may play with, and they continue to hold their power within energy, for you continue to lend energy to your belief system of duplicity. You merely do not pay as much attention to your expressions of good as you do to your expressions of bad, for bad is your dead mouse! (15) DALE: And paying attention to our bad parts is good! ELIAS: Ah! DALE: Or so we think! ELIAS: And you shall quite convolute yourself in this expression, shall you not? DALE: Yep! VICKI: ... Okay, I have a question based on the first part. So, when somebody else’s ball connects up with your ball, then there can be an altering of your perception, correct? ELIAS: Correct. VICKI: My question goes back to this allowance/penetration/buffer thing (16) ... if you could maybe give some information about how to create this buffer a little more efficiently than I seem to be able to create presently. ELIAS: This is in actuality directly related to your own acceptance of self. I have expressed to you all many times that your initial direction is to be concerning yourself with self, and subsequently you move in the direction of the acceptance of other individuals, for this automatically is a natural byproduct of your own acceptance of self, for in the areas that you are not accepting of self, you also are not accepting of other individuals.
